About the adventure

In Delta Green: Containment & Collapse, players take on the roles of federal agents, analysts, scientists, and specialists drawn into The Program, a covert organization tasked with containing unnatural threats and keeping them hidden from the public. This campaign unfolds across 4–5 official Delta Green operations, forming a structured arc of escalating horror. What begins as isolated anomalies and manageable incidents gradually expands into something broader, stranger, and harder to contain. This is a long-form campaign built for players who enjoy investigation, atmosphere, and meaningful consequences. Expect tense interviews, forensic discoveries, classified briefings, late-night phone calls, and decisions that blur the line between heroism and necessity.

About me

I’ve been rolling dice and telling stories since 2015, and for the past seven years I’ve been running games as a Dungeon Master. My table experience spans across Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Delta Green, and Call of Cthulhu, so whether you’re looking for high fantasy heroics, grim cosmic horror, or gritty modern investigations, I’ve got you covered. I love helping players bring their characters to life and weaving their backstories into the larger narrative. Whether you’re brand new to TTRPGs or a veteran adventurer, my goal is to make sure everyone at the table feels included and has fun.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will take place during Session 0 so we can build a cohesive team that fits the tone and structure of the campaign. At the start of the campaign, characters are not yet full members of Delta Green. They begin as Friendlies, professionals who have encountered the unnatural before or have been flagged as useful assets. You may have limited awareness that something strange exists and that a secret organization operates in the shadows, but you are not yet formally inducted into The Program. We will use the official Delta Green Agent creation rules from the core rulebook. Attributes and skills will be generated using the standard system outlined in the book. All characters will be created directly in Foundry VTT using the Delta Green character sheet. I will guide you step-by-step, including Bonds and Motivations, which are essential to how the campaign unfolds.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Before the first session, please make sure you have the following: • A Discord account with the desktop or browser app installed (voice will be handled through Discord). • A stable internet connection and a working microphone. • A modern web browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended) for Foundry VTT. You do not need to purchase Foundry, I host the game, and my license covers all players. You’ll simply connect through a link I provide. If you have time before Session 0, I recommend watching a short overview video on Foundry VTT and taking a quick look at the Delta Green character sheet layout. This is not required, but it can help you feel more comfortable on your first night. Character creation will be handled together during Session 0, so no system mastery is required beforehand. New players are welcome, I’m happy to guide you through the mechanics.

What Ashr B brings to the table

I provide players with digital access to the essential Delta Green rulebooks needed to create and play their characters. Character creation will be guided during Session 0 to ensure everyone fits the tone and structure of the campaign. We will play using Foundry VTT, where I incorporate ambient music, environmental sound design, handouts, visual aids, and scene transitions to reinforce atmosphere. I occasionally use subtle voice modulation or character voice shifts for key NPCs to help distinguish personalities and build immersion. My GM style is story-first with strong attention to pacing and tone. I care deeply about atmosphere and tension, but I also value player agency and cinematic moments. I lean toward “Rule of Cool” when it enhances drama or character, but Delta Green is a grounded system, actions have consequences, and realism matters. Combat is fast, dangerous, and rarely heroic.

Safety

How Ashr B creates a safe table

We will go over lines and veils in Session 0. This is a horror campaign that explores mature themes including death (including harm to children), moral ambiguity, psychological stress, and institutional corruption. Because of this, player safety and comfort are extremely important. Before play begins, we will hold a Session 0 where we establish tone, expectations, and personal boundaries. I use Lines and Veils to clearly define content that will not appear (Lines) and content that may exist but will fade to black (Veils). During play, I use an open X-Card policy. Players may type “X” in chat, send me a private message, or verbally signal if something needs to be skipped or adjusted. No explanation is required in the moment. Breaks are always allowed, and players are encouraged to message me privately at any time if something feels uncomfortable. After intense sessions, I allow space to decompress and check in briefly before ending. The goal is tension and horror within a framework of trust. Everyone at the table should feel safe even when the fiction is not.
