About the adventure
The village of Phandalin is built on the foundations of a long fallen civilization. Thugs threaten the villagers, warlords work in secret building forces, and beneath it all, long slumbering evils awaken in the depths. New and experienced players are welcome in this epic adventure where we'll blend exploration, mysteries, combat, puzzles and roleplaying in a rich and fantastical realm. The choices of the characters will have direct impact on the outcomes of the campaign. Will the villagers endeavor and prosper or fall to the threats? Outside of the game sessions, we'll work together in Discord to create characters, manage stats and advancement and answer any questions that come up. DNDBeyond will be used to manage characters and combat.

About me
Introduced to Dungeons and Dragons in the mid 1980s, I’ve been a tabletop roleplaying enthusiast since 1st edition AD&D. I’ve been a Game Master since 5th edition’s release and have run hundreds of in-person and online sessions since. Additionally, I represent roleplaying game publishers at conventions such as GenCon, Origins, and Pax Unplugged where I introduce game systems and settings for new and experienced players to explore. For in-person games, I enjoy crafting epic tabletop terrain to place in front of my players and gameplay accessories such as wooden dice trays and GM Screens to aid in the gameplay. Being a fan of Fantasy and Science Fiction storytelling, Board Games, Music and Media, and Nerd Culture, I blend my interests into my social life, hobbies and profession.

Creating your character
Prior to the first game, we will meet on Discord to create Characters with guided assistance. We will use a DNDBeyond account to manage the characters progression throughout the campaign. Characters start at level 1 using the standard array stats and fixed HP making character advancement painless and smooth. No prior knowledge of lore or gaming necessary. All information will be shared during the course of the campaign!

What InspiredGM brings to the table
I'll bring providing well researched content with developed Non-Player Characters and intrigue, a rule of cool gameplay style and fun approach to role-playing. We'll use official and home-brew content to allow the campaign to go where the players wish to take it, whether on the rails or off!
Homebrew rules
We'll be using the 2024 rule set as our gameplay template. From there, let's have fun with options which we can discuss out of game!
