About me

I have been a DM/GM for many years. I have overseen games with new players and experienced players and I love them all. Each player brings a unique experience and I love seeing the different paths that can occur within the same campaign. My main goal is for the players to enjoy themselves. Come join me and together we can discover the new paths different campaigns can take us.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation starts before the first session. 20 Point buy system starting at level 1. We use Roll20 so character sheets should be there, but if you want to create it somewhere else first and then input it in Roll20, that is fine, or you can use Roll20's charactermancer. The player's guide will be provided. Homebrew rules include Elephant in the Room, drawbacks, background skills, and a few others with more details in the discord.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will be using Discord for voice chat for the game and general chat and updates. We will be playing on Roll20.

What Chandelle brings to the table

I will provide ambient music. I love roleplay as well as combat. I do use the Rule of Cool if the opportunity arises. I may change things within the campaign a bit to make things more cohesive or to fit in better with what the PCs are doing. I might make enemies a little stronger or weaker depending on how the party is doing.

Homebrew rules

We will be using Elephant in the Room, Background skills, Drawbacks, and a different leveling HP system that looks like this: Alternative hp rolling rule. d12= d4+8, d10=d4+6, d8=d4+4, and d6=d4+2. This means you can never roll lower than half your hit die. I have changed the caravan system a bit for this campaign and that will be discussed more in detail in the campaign.

Safety

How Chandelle creates a safe table

In session 0 we will go over the rules which I also haven written down for everyone to access at any time. In session 0, we will go over everyone's Lines and Veils as well as how they can let me know immediately if something in game is making them comfortable. When I know what their Lines and Veils are, I will be careful not to bring up those subjects in game. I will have an open door policy where anyone can contact me at anytime to go over anything that is/that has/or may make them uncomfortable so I can change that to make sure they are comfortable going forward.
