About the adventure
In Pearl of the Pacific, you will be taking on the role of mercenaries trying to strike it big in a hostile world that wants to crush you. You have been given a job. It's a simple gig, go to a place, retrieve an item, then deliver it to your employer. Sounds easy enough. You will encounter challenges on your way to complete your job. Criminals, Corpo's and a whole host of cybernetically enhanced psycho's all stand in your way. How you'll deal with them is all up to you. ---------- The Setting Let me paint you a picture. Imagine industrial pollution, torrential rain, dilapidated advertising. Add a dash of gang warfare, a pinch of corporate greed, and bucket load of chrome, and you have yourself the Pearl of the Pacific: The Manila free state. The 4th corporate war has been over nearly 20 years yet the scars remain. The Megacorps have pulled out of South East Asia, leaving behind a power vacuum that's never been quite filled and a whole bunch of expensive little toys that's never been fully plundered. In the shadows of the Manila free state, shadowy forces are engaged in a power struggle that has the potential to impact the rest of the world. You are caught right in the middle of it. ---------- Cyberpunk: Pearl of the Pacific is going to be a roleplay heavy beginner friendly campaign with the potential to expand the session at player request. The campaign is a original story set in the Cyberpunk RED universe. Knowledge of the universe is not required to enjoy the story. This campaign is for players who enjoy character arcs, consequences and the occasional bombastic action set pieces.

About me
Greetings! My name is Marcus. I have been GMing for just over 5 years and been playing table top for a lot longer. Table top and roleplaying has been a life long passion and I am always grateful to play a game. I pride myself as a flexible GM who loves to implement my players backstories and actions into the main story itself. I focus my campaigns around the players themselves. I like to set up objectives for players to strive towards, but let the players determine how they will achieve those objectives. My favourite thing about being a GM is simply teaching new players how to play new systems. There is nothing quite like the feeling of watching the pieces click together in a new player as they finally understand how a system works. I like to run a welcoming table. LGBTQ+, people of colour, players with special need and anyone who's always been excluded will always have a spot in my table.

Creating your character
Character Creation will be done at session zero or before a session if a player joins after the session 0. Optionally, character creation can be done before session 0. Character creation will follow the standard rules for character creation in the Cyberpunk Red handbook which I will go over during session 0. I will also be more then willing to personally teach a player how to create your own characters with the system before a session if the player is interested. Players can also opt in to use one of the ready to play characters from the Cyberpunk Red Jumpstart box if they want to jump straight into the action.

How Marcus Nieva creates a safe table
During session zero, alongside character creation and teaching basic rules, we will discuss campaign expectations, lines and veils. Following every session, there will be a 15 minute debrief. Additionally I will allow every player to privately DM me any particular concerns they want to address.
