About me
Hi! I'm Conor and I've been playing TTRPGs for about a decade now! I got into it when my high school friends told me it was like "improv with swords." In college, I was known as the "D&D guy" because I was the person who always found a way to work D&D into conversations. I've been running D&D for about 6 years now and MOTW for the past 3 years, but I've loved telling stories my entire life. I pride myself on my ability to go above and beyond to make sure players feel strong, challenged, and immersed while also making sure everyone at the table is comfortable. I am a big fan of homebrew, roleplay, and communication. I always want to make sure that everyone is having as much fun as possible. I love to laugh, cry, and grow through these stories. I look forward to telling these stories with you! Yes! You!

Creating your character
Players will start at level 3 and have a custom magic item tailored to their backstory. There will be a formal session zero where we establish some world lore, character dynamics, and roll for stats. Characters will be created on D&D Beyond.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a Discord and D&DBeyond Account!
What Conor brings to the table
I will be providing players with as much as I can. I've been running games in this D&D world since I was 17 and I love to talk at length about the lore. I want my games to be the chance for you to become the hero you've always wanted to be. I tailor a lot of my rules and rulings to the groups I'm playing with. If a group wants some crazy crunchy combat, I'm down. If combat is a groups thing, we focus on roleplay. I can adapt to whatever the player needs. However, there are some staples in each of my games. Staple 1: I love doing voices and I encourage players to do voices. It's really fun. Staple 2: Music is a BIG tool in my kit. It can do things my words can't. Staple 3: I make rulings. I wouldn't necessarily say that I am a Rule of Cool or Rules as Written DM, I make ruling based on the situation. Is Rule of Conversation a thing? If it is, I'm that.
Homebrew rules
Alternate Inspiration Uses: A player can grant another player their inspiration, but must justify how they inspire/help the other player. Exhaustion Spell Slots: Sometimes, all you need to turn the tide is a little extra push. As a desperate, last resort a player may use their exhaustion levels in place of spell slots. The level of exhaustion matches the level of the spell to a maximum of 6. For other classes, this system applies the same way. For materials (Fighter/Barbarian) you can do this with rage and action surge, taking levels of exhaustion equal to the amount of attacks you make. Monks can use this with ki points, with the exhaustion matching the level of ki points they restore. The Help action for skill checks requires you to have proficiency in that skill. You gain the maximum number of Hit Points if you drink a health potion as an action. You can drink a health potion as a bonus action, but it will require a dice roll. Desperate Measures: A player who is downed may voluntarily fail two death saving throws to immediately take a turn.

How Conor creates a safe table
I will be send each of the players a Consent in Gaming document by Sean K. Reynolds and Shanna Germain, as well as doing aftercare after every session. I am also always available to have conversation at any time about any hard lines and veils, as people and triggers change.
