About me
Hey, I’m Josh! I've been running TTRPGs on and off for 17 years both professionally and for fun! My introduction to the hobby was in my early teens when my sister taught me how to play D&D 3.5 after learning it from her friend, Brennan Lee Mulligan. I’ve been hooked ever since. Since then, I’ve run games for friends through college and professionally for adult groups in NYC, therapeutically for adults and kids, and online for large communities. I mostly run D&D nowadays, but I import all the best game elements from the various systems I've run over the years. I prefer to run a classic campaign, but I've run lots one-shots, and was a primary writer for a West Marches group for many years as well.

Creating your character
🧙Character Build🧙 We will use the 2024 rules engine. Use Point Buy to determine stats. 2024 versions of classes & feats. All WOTC-published materials are available for 2024, and you may ignore setting-specific restrictions for backgrounds & feats. In addition, you may use backgrounds from Strixhaven, Dragonlance, and Glory of Giants. Other D&D 5e 2014 materials as well as third party materials are allowed with approval. Please give me time to review what you want to use. ⚔️Gear⚔️ You may start with the following... ☑️Two +1 weapons of your choice and any mundane armor you are proficient in and a shield if you wish. ☑️One Rare and two Uncommon magic items (ask me for approval) ☑️One of the following consumable packs. ➡️➡️Elixir of Health ➡️➡️Potion of Greater Healing, Potion of Resistance (your choice of element) ➡️➡️Potion of Superior Healing Feel free to make a backup character… you might need one!

I'm a Professional GM with over 10,000 hours ran in Roll20. I take great pride in providing a premium game experience for my players! Usually, I balance combat and roleplay equally in my campaigns, but this game is far more Devil May Cry Bloody Palace challenges. That said, there will be ample interaction with your fellow dreamers, your adversaries and, of course, your colorful host! When it comes to combat, which is what this one shot is mostly focused on, I'm known for running intense scenes that prioritize fun through meaningful challenge. Expect diverse enemy types, mechanically impactful diverse combat arenas, unique objectives for prizes. I also run my NPC/ Monster turns in a tactical capacity of whatever is narratively appropriate and I do it like LIGHTNING, often finishing with an army enemies in under 30 seconds.
