About the adventure

Sessions 0 & 1 are FREE. After which, if you'd like to continue the adventure the price will return to the regular session cost of $20/session. -------- A Corrupted Souls adventure takes place during a three-sided war between angels, demons, and mortal Houses. You gain power from Corruptors—objects, people, places, or phenomena that grant abilities but increase your Corruption. When you fail a roll, you can trigger a Corruptor’s Temptation for a stronger effect at a cost. The more Corruption you carry, the more powerful you become, but the closer you move to the King’s influence, the harder it becomes to resist his control. --------- A Tell-Tale Hearth is a dark fantasy heist set within a frozen frontier where prosperity is bought with blood and silence. Frostfen Village should be starving, but its fields overflow despite the season, its food stores are full, and its people are unsure if their abundance is born of a blessing or a curse. Half a day's journey from Frostfen stands Whitehart Lodge, a hunting hall buried in snow and secrets, hosting a feast on the eve of a deadly storm. Warm firelight and thinly-veiled, polite dealings mask something ancient and very wrong beating beneath the hearthstone. This is a story about corruption, survival, and choices. You play operatives of the Bannerless Creed: exiles, deserters, and survivors who refuse to fight for Furiel's Host of divine angels & gods, the King's demonic Court of Corruption, or for the crowns of the mortal High Houses. Your job is not to save the world, it’s to endure it. Expect moral pressure, false hospitality, and the constant question of how much you’re willing to sacrifice in order to succeed. There is sin all across the realm, and it’s a living presence that watches, listens, and rewards those who feed it. You’ll navigate social interactions, environmental hazards, and timed pressures, as the storm closes in around the Whitehart Lodge. -------- If you enjoy Game of Thrones intrigue, the atmosphere of the Diablo franchise, and classic D&D lore, along with hard choices, and looming, existential dread, then you have found the right adventure to embark upon, traveler!

About me

“Stories have to be told or they die, and when they die, we can't remember who we are or why we're here.” -- Sue Monk Kidd Hail Traveler! I'm Jotun the Halforc, lover of stories and laughter, passionate creative, and professional GM for nearly a decade with the goal of creating unforgettable adventures where laughter, friendship, and epic moments can crash together in a super-storm of awesomeness. Whether you're a seasoned player or brand new to the table, I am dedicated to crafting immersive, character-driven narratives that you can truly get lost in—complete with intriguing concepts, deeply impactful moments, homebrewed concoctions, ridiculous NPCs, and plenty of room for shenanigans. To me, Dungeons & Dragons is more than just a game. It’s a shared experience, a weekly escape that has become the best excuse to gather around with friends, screw around, and have an absolute blast. Every roll of the dice comes with a side of laughter or tinged in nervous excitement, and every session will feel like stepping into a world where anything is possible. If you’re looking for a GM who’s equal parts storyteller, rule bender(in your favor), heart-string plucker, agent of chaos— who cares deeply about making the game fun, inclusive, and unforgettable for you—pull up a chair, roll initiative, and let's make some magic together!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will take place during Session 0, where we'll use DnDBeyond to go over the creation steps, rolling for stats, seeing the setting-specific lore, the additional systems, and the house rules.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need to make an account on DnDbeyond for creating and tracking your character sheet, and you'll need to join my Discord server. The Discord server is what I use to stream my TalesSpire maps to my players, where I pass along important images, and where my players can contact me with ease. You DO NOT NEED to own a copy of TalesSpire.

What Jotun Halforc brings to the table

The books I have available for you to use on DnDbeyond: DMG(2014), PH(2014), MP:MotM, Spelljammer, Strixhaven, SCAG, TCoE, and XGTE. I love to set ambiance through visuals and music, and although I have no training, I love to make memorable voices for my NPCs. It's really some of the most fun I have DM'ing. I wouldn't consider myself a Rules Lawyer, but I also don't throw the rules to the wind. It's great when awesome moments happen because of your creativity in using the tools at your disposal. I will be streaming full 3D maps through TalesSpire for you to immerse yourself in.

Safety

How Jotun Halforc creates a safe table

Players can expect a session 0 where, on top of character creation, we will go over sensitive topics to avoid and what a session will look like. It's about fun and safety for everyone at the table. Breaks are an absolute must, but people can feel free to get up at any time, for any reason. I'm not your homeroom teacher, I won't take it badly. After my sessions, I like to ask the players if they had fun and if there should be any changes to subject matter. To go over future goals for their characters or expectations of gameplay that I might no be delivering on. My door is always open. I'll always be available to talk with, because I fully believe that being able to listen and converse with my players is key to maintaining a healthy environment to feel safe and have fun in.
