About the adventure
The truth has been hidden from Humanity! Forces that defy all known science and understanding have been interfering in our world for decades, and the ultra-secret government organization known as 'Delta Green' wages a shadow war to push back against these threats and keep humanity from uncovering the Killer Truth. You are a newly minted agent of Delta Green and will be tasked with investigating cases of strange events to determine if they represent a threat to our world. You have an everyday life with a day job, friends, and family the depend on you -- but when Delta Green calls you respond. It is your job to discover clues and find a way to stop the incursion while minimizing the awareness of the general public in order to prevent the damage from spreading and save lives. You may need to convince witnesses that they really did not see anything unnatural and create an alternative narrative to explain away any strange events. Welcome to the conspiracy. If you are a fan of THE X-FILES, FRINGE or other sci-fi based shows that deal with hidden supernatural events and conspiracies then you will love this game. This is a horror RPG and the threats encountered by the Agents (PCs) can be very deadly and disturbing. The Agents will undergo mental and physical stress that can result in gaining mental disorders and temporary insanity. Many of us have very real experiences with Depression, PTSD, Anxiety disorders, and others. It is my goal to treat these issues with respect and care; not to make them the subject of jokes or ridicule. They are very real aspects of people’s lives and therefore they may also become very real parts of your character’s lives. No prior experience with Delta Green RPG is necessary, but this will be a roleplay heavy experience where players are expected to embrace negative complications to their characters and hazards that come with performing these investigations. You are ordinary characters that represent the top minds in your field, but you will be facing off against very real supernatural forces.

I'm a friendly online game nerd with over 30 years of experience running and playing TTRPGs for family and friends. I'm also a former chef who has helped create dazzling culinary experience for thousands of people. Creating your character
Please submit your character sheet to me prior to your first session. We will not be using paid session time to create the characters, it must be done prior to your first live session. **When you join the game, please stop by the Discord link to meet me and your fellow players.** Follow the Character Creation steps in the official Agent's Handbook or the Free 'Need to Know' guide. If you need a copy of the free rules, please let me know and I can provide them and answer any questions you may have. I encourage players to create characters that compliment each other's skills and abilities to round out a successful investigation team. Who will specialize in Human observation and interaction? Who will specialize in biological/medical discoveries? Will you have a forensics or digital/tech specialist on your team? It's important to a have a well rounded team! There is more to Delta Green than just the operations, and the Agents will personal Bonds in their private lives such as family, friends, and co-workers that they can interact with between missions. A complete character sheet will also have several MOTIVATIONS and personal pursuits that they like to participate in their downtime. In order for a character sheet to be considered complete, all sections must be filled out and be approved by the Handler/GM. (That's Me.)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
*** When you join the game, please stop by the Discord link to meet me and your fellow players.*** Delta Green agents are usually recruited from within federal law enforcement agencies such as the FBI, DEA, ATF or the military such as SOCOM. These are people that generally have a keen mind for investigations and/or know how to handle themselves in tricky situations. But DG also occasionally recruits their agents from other fields such as science, anthropology, or medicine. Most of the time, recruits have had an inciting exposure to something unnatural and became part of “The Program” (as agents call it) to continue lending their individual expertise to the cause of protecting humanity from strange and cosmic threats. We will work on that back story together during character creation. Characters in Delta Green are flawed individuals and I expect the players to embrace this in their character creation. I am open to exploring awarding BONUS SKILL POINTS to new characters in exchange for a Disorder.
What Chris brings to the table
Similar to scenes in a television series, this campaign will include narrative fictional posts as "cinematic" teasers leading into each scenario. These will help set the tone and give players a sense of things to come in the game.
Homebrew rules
Players are encouraged to write and post their own works of narrative micro-fiction that can be descriptive backstories or personal journal entries from their characters as they proceed thought the campaign. Players who post an entry will get a point of INSIGHT that they can use during the game to get a FREE RE-ROLL on any skill check.

How Chris creates a safe table
I fully intend to host a series of “session zero” meetings to assist players with character creation but to also…most importantly, discuss content and safety tools. This is going to be a very mature game, with a “hard R” cinematic rating. Expect there to be very adult themes running throughout these stories including: illicit sex, drug use, criminal activity, violence, possible suicide, domestic abuse, and more. Descriptions of blood and gore could be common in this game. As always, I don’t want to make any of my players uncomfortable and we will make a defined list of “lines and veils” for specific topics before gameplay starts. And always, if anyone ever becomes uncomfortable in the middle of a game and needs to step away for any length of time that is one hundred percent OK and no questions asked. There are no judgments here. This fictional game may not be a safe space for your characters, but for us as human players please consider my table to always be a safe space!
