About the adventure
Welcome to the world of Talros. A place where empires live and die at the hands of heroes and villains. An empire dedicated to the progress of humanity at all costs, Privateers working for whoever will pay them the best. Some 6 centuries ago, the ruling dragons took to the skies and the seas and vanished, with only rare sightings here and there. In the power vacuum after the gods Bahamut and Tiamat went silent, the goddess Erathis and her concord inspired the Vorran Empire to crusade across Talros. In the Wyrmspine Isles, they met resistance against the great Pirate Factions of the Thalmyr Sea. Will you stop the empire? Will you fight against the pirate scourge? Is there more strength in independence, or in unity against the enemy, whoever that may be? Let's tell a story together. This is a Dungeons and Dragons 5e campaign in my homebrewed world of Talros. Together we will sail the seas and learn together what the world has in store for us. New players, experienced players, and everyone in between are welcome.

About me
I was introduced to TTRPGs when I was about 8 or 9 years old by and friend and I was instantly hooked on it. Years passed and I found TTRPG media through shows like Critical Role, High Rollers, and Dimension 20. What hooked me were the deep emotions that people felt and the incredible adventures and stories they told. I longed to play all through high school and then when I got to college, I found a group with my roommates. My GM was incredible and the stories we preceded to tell for the following years were character shaping for me. Finally playing consistently, I just couldn't get enough, so I decided to start running my own game. It started with Dungeons and Dragons Tyranny of Dragons, and then moved forward to a homebrewed world of the high-seas and piracy. My highest priority has been making sure that players feel involved and safe to allow them to feel vulnerable and experience the growth that I have as well through the stories and adventures.
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character Creation will happen in a free session zero and/or communicated with me privately outside of that. We will use the standard array with a home-rule regarding the lowest stat. We will stick largely with the official WotC D&D books for classes and subclasses, except for most Spelljammer species. If you have other ideas, I am open to them and we can totally talk about it.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Creating a D&D Beyond account, a Discord, and a Roll20 account will be the most important things to have downloaded and accounts for.
What Solomon brings to the table
I love telling stories with high stakes encounters, both combat and non-combat, with music to help build and mold the stories and emotions. I try my best with voices but have never been good with accents. And largely I like to stick to the Rules, but I love creative choices and want to make your D&D dreams come true and we can figure things out as they come up.
Homebrew rules
Drinking Potions is a bonus action. Option in character creation to opt for an ability score to be 6 in exchange for a Feat to start with. Naval Combat rules that we will go over extensively when playing.

How Solomon creates a safe table
I will be sending a link to players interested in playing to a Lines and Veils document, and we will talk privately about what you are and are not comfortable with. During sessions, it is an open door policy where if you ever feel uncomfortable for any reason you can step out for a few minutes. X, N, and O's will be messaged to me, and after every session please reach out to me to let me know if something came too close to a line or if even the slightest thing was alarming so we can talk and address it.
