About the adventure
Over the last 100 years the Angel of Conquest has consumed the Wailing Lands; dragging all of the previously sovereign states into her Empire. Unsatisfied to simply rule, she now asks each petty nation to put forth a team of their finest to compete in the Tournament of Ascension. Fail and your people may be wiped from the face of the world. Succeeding may be worse, though. The winning team will be granted a twisted immortality; ascending to the Angel's army of monstrous Ophanim. In this one-shot you will... - Make consequential narrative choices. - Compete in an Olympics/Hunger-Games style battle royale. - Engage in unique challenges and difficult encounters. What will you do with your back to the wall? Can you escape fated choice that has been laid before you? Win or lose; ascend or die, you will never be the same.

About me
LGBTQ+ | Filipino-American | Game Designer | Writer | Dreamer Hey there! I’m Josh. I’ve always thought you can get a good impression of a person from their favorite games. So here are a few of mine: Hades Sekiro Wildermyth Outward Bug Fables I grew up near Seattle in the rainy, romantic gray skies of the Pacific Northwest. About 4 years ago I moved to Taiwan to teach English and improve my Mandarin. As a kid I was terminally at home, tearing through books, watching movies and playing games. Always with a sense of anticipation. "When would my adventure would begin?" As I’ve aged, I’ve grown to love how stories offer a reflection of the complex inner worlds we all have. In a way, my journey has already begun. Just like those characters, we are all the main characters of our own stories; but there is something special when we can see those inner lives reflected in one another. I design games and write stories to pursue the connection that transforms a bunch of solitary protagonists into a community. Also, it’s fun! I have been DMing for 9 years; a lot of that time spent with my recent home group that spans the whole world (from Ireland to Taiwan!) I mostly enjoy writing custom content and tailoring stories to the people I’m playing with. I love surprises, and I am really good at hyping up my players. Yes! Of course your feathers can turn into blades. Yes! Of course the banjo is a bard instrument. Let’s get a little silly and pursue our unique stories in a world that itself is stranger than fiction.

Creating your character
My online servers will be prepared for you to use all of the official and gametest (the Void) materials. You can create your character directly in the Virtual Tabletop (VTT) or on Demiplane. You will be directed to resources before the game, and I will be available to answer any questions you have beforehand.

How Dreamerboy creates a safe table
Before the session I will provide a brief survey to determine everyone's familiarity with tabletop roleplaying games and their comfort levels with various content. My main safety tools include: - Lines and Veils that will be discussed at the top of the session. - Break system (two breaks that are each 10 minutes long). - Direct messaging via discord for any emergency needs. Some content that I NEVER have in ANY of my adventures are: Racism, Ableism, Misogyny, Sexual Assault, Transphobia and Homophobia.
