About the adventure

LIKE MANY OF THE HEROIC LEGENDS that echo throughout the annals of Exandrian history, this tale begins in peace— or what passes for peace in Jigow at festival time. Goblin children run through the streets, screaming with mirth, while orcs, humans, drow, and people of countless other folk clink tankards, hurl hatchets at targets, stuff their faces with meat pies, and plunge into the frigid waters of the Ifolon River— all in the name of friendly competition. But Wildemount is old. Older than its wars, older than its gods' promises. Some places remember what was buried there... and some spirits do not rest quietly. Our adventure begins in Xhorhas, a land where history is personal and loss is still spoken aloud. Get ready for: 🌫️ A mystery-driven story ⚖️ Choices that matter ✨ Roleplay-forward, character-focused 🌍 A living, reactive world

About me

I've been a D&D player for about four years, though I have more watch experience (CR) than play experience. I have been writing/roleplaying by post for about ten years, so I have more experience in PBP, but I want to expand to voice as well! I love including character backstories and making sure everyone gets what they want out of the game.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All you need is a Discord account, DNDBeyond account and Roll20 account, which are all free! Materials on DNDBeyond are not necessary because I will content share everything you may need. I would love to have a group of beginners or new players so I can hone my skills without the anxiety of messing up in front of veteran players, and we can all just learn and enjoy the game together!

What Sinceriously brings to the table

I aim to provide a story-first, character driven experience where atmosphere, emotional weight, and player choice matter more than mechanical optimisation. This campaign will emphasise heavy roleplay and narrative immersion. I adapt the world based on player choices rather than forcing a fixed plot, rewarding investigation, empathy, and creative thinking. I lean strongly toward the Rule of Cool. Rules exist to support the story, not restrict it.

Safety

How Sinceriously creates a safe table

Before the campaign starts, everyone needs to fill out a Lines and Veils document, of which I will then summarise the results to make sure EVERYONE knows what to expect and keep in mind for their fellow player. I will go over this list in session 0 and make sure everyone understands what is expected of them, including myself. After each session I love to do a stars/wishes review, and I am always available to talk to about any issues or concerns, whether that is during a session or not.
