About the adventure
In this short campaign, players will explore a secluded island and unearth secrets of its past. The game will take place in a classic fantasy setting, so expect magic, potions, and lots of opportunities for your heroes to show their bravery and might! This is a great low-level campaign for beginners to learn the rules of D&D, but it can also be fun for experienced players who enjoy the challenges that come with playing a low-level character. Either way, I can adjust the difficulty level based on the group's needs!

About me
Hello! My name is Julia, and I've been a Game Master since 2022. My favorite genre of TTRPGs to play are generally Sci-Fi, strategy, and survival, although I can have fun playing almost anything! Along with running home games with friends, I frequently volunteer to GM at my local game store, so I have experience adjusting to groups or individuals with different dynamics and expectations. *FYI* I am very flexible with game days/times, so if one of my posted games does not fit with your group's schedule, please message me!

Creating your character
We will create our characters together during a free Session 0! You can choose whichever digital platform is most convenient for you when creating a character sheet. We will only be using Roll20 for visuals, maps, and token placement. If you prefer to track your character a different way, that's completely fine. We will be using the updated 2024 rules for character creation. Please check with me if you want to be a species or class that isn't in the Player's Handbook. Players can choose to either roll their stats, select the standard array, or use point-buy.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before you sign up, make sure you have accounts on Discord and Roll20 as well as a working microphone and reliable internet access!
What Julia brings to the table
I usually focus on roleplay and player agency in my sessions, and this campaign will be no exception! By setting the mood with music and providing complex NPCs for players to interact with, I hope to build a world ripe for exploring. This campaign has an average level of combat, but I (almost) always allow players to avoid fighting through creative solutions. Of course, if you want to plow through all obstacles using violence, that is also a valid option!

How Julia creates a safe table
I want to make sure all players feel safe during our sessions. Players will be sent a Lines and Veils document prior to Session 0 so I can have a better understanding of what topics to avoid. Session 0 is also where we'll discuss our wishes for the campaign and any questions/concerns on the players' end.
