About the adventure
Scum and Villainy is a cinematic, action-packed, narrative-forward game in a futuristic sci-fi setting inspired by Star Wars, Firefly, Cowboy Bebop, Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Expanse. You play as a member of a scrappy crew trying to earn enough credits to stay in the black. Pick from beloved space opera tropes like dashing scoundrels, ace pilots, and expert tech slicers. Create your own playable alien race, play as a plucky droid, or channel mystical force powers through The Way. Encounter crime lords, Imperial agents, clever rebels, jumplane pirates and fantastic xenos as you make your way across the galaxy's frontier. Will you lend a hand or exploit opportunities? Pick a side, or try to remain free agents? Based on Blades in the Dark, this game is fast, fiction-first and easy to learn! Every character choice and roll of the dice matters. As a player, you'll explore, expand, and help shape a dynamic, living world where the machinations of dozens of factions keep turning in the background and each decision has far-reaching consequences.

About me
Hi, I'm Rei! I've been running roleplaying games for about 15 years now. I got my start with Dungeons & Dragons and from there have gotten into all types of tabletop rpgs, with my current favorites being narrative forward, RP-heavy games, and fast and creative rules-medium to rules-lighter games. I enjoy teaching and helping new players and telling immersive stories that give players room to be creative and shape the game world. Creating your character
We'll start at level 1 and create your crew of characters (and your ship!) together at Session 0. We'll use rules as written from the Scum and Villainy book. You can choose from any of the pre-made playbooks (classes) or work with me to create your own custom playbook.

I run an inclusive table where LGBTQ+, neuro-divergent folk, and POC are welcome and encouraged to join. This is also a beginner-friendly game - if you've never played Scum and Villainy, Blades in the Dark, or even a narrative game - welcome! I'm here to help you learn!
