About the adventure
Dragon fire threatens to consume Faerûn! Do you dare oppose the Cult of the Dragon and resist the might of Tiamat, Queen of Dragons? In the course of this adventure, you’ll face an evil alliance intent on unleashing a draconic apocalypse upon Faerûn. The Cult of the Dragon, the Red Wizards of Thay, and a conspiracy of other villains plot to reshape the world, making it ready for the coming of Tiamat. As events unfold, dragons rampage across the Sword Coast, serving at the vanguard of a legion of cultists, fiends, and worse. To oppose these forces, new heroes must rise and resist them—yet they need not do so alone. Groups like the Harpers, the Lord’s Alliance, and even the wicked Zhentarim might be rallied to oppose the Cult of the Dragon, but only if clever souls convince them to put aside their age-old rivalries. Will the people of the Realms stand and oppose the forces of dragonkind, or will they fall amid waves of dragon breath? This adventure is designed for a party of three to five 3rd level characters, who should advance to approximately 15th to 17th level by the time they reach the epic conclusion. Session costs are $25 a session, but you can prepurchase five sessions for $100. First session is free (try before you buy).

About me
I've been a GM for six years now. I've done many campaigns, weaving complex official D&D storylines together with my own bit of personal flair. I've also done a number of one shots and one page dungeons. These last ones can be the most fun as they often differ dramatically and put players in some very unusual situations. I'm available for hire for a group that wants to run the Curse of Strahd Campaign, Rise of Tiamat, Phandelver and Below, and many more. For sessions, I primarily use a mix of theater of the mind and I use tabletop simulator for visuals to create some elaborate 3d dungeons and then I stream the feed to a zoom channel where players make decisions for their characters and interact.

Creating your character
Characters will be created in the zero session. We will discuss character builds, backstory, and how your character might be connected to this campaign. These connections could be important throughout the campaign. Some knowledge of the Forgotten Realms setting is encouraged but not required.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
1. Have a free account for DnD Beyond: https://www.dndbeyond.com/ 2. Have access to Discord app or program. 3. You need a mic and headset(to avoid audio feedback). Webcam is encouraged, but optional.
What Alex Cloud brings to the table
While much of this process is theater of the mind, I use or build my own maps in tabletop simulator, which I then stream to discord to provide visuals. (You do not need access to tabletop simulator to play). I also provide the atmosphere with storytelling and voices. Since I use tabletop for visuals, I do allow and encourage players to make a figure at Heroforge.com that represents their in-game character. I then deduct the cost of the digital download from a player's session. It's a nice way to get your character represented adequately and get a discount on a session.
Homebrew rules
*Modified Critical Misses and hits. *Drinking a potion as a bonus action. Maximizing healing on potions as an action. *Help action as a bonus action or even a reaction - I'll explain more on this in the zero session.

How Alex Cloud creates a safe table
This game contains the following themes: Dragons, suspense, some horror, and gore. I use a bit of levity to keep things from getting too intense; though, if you have a bit of difficulty with any of these themes, you may not want to get involved in this campaign.
