About the adventure
Welcome to Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, an adventure set in the Forgotten Realms' City of Splendors. Choose your allies, make enemies, and decide the future of the city as you are drawn into a web of intrigue, rivalries, and dangerous opportunities around every corner. This campaign emphasizes roleplay, investigation, and meaningful player agency. You'll navigate through a fast-paced, urban adventure where clever choices matter as much as sharp blades. Combat is present but purposeful - clever planning, social maneuvering, and creative problem-solving are just as powerful as sword and spell. Whether you seek wealth, influence, or justice, Waterdeep offers countless paths to leave your mark on the city. Dragon Heist is the perfect adventure for new and experienced players alike.

About me
For me, roleplaying games are about shared stories. I build player-driver campaigns where players have room to shape the story through their characters, decisions, and dice rolls. Expect tactical combat, engaging roleplay, and memorable NPCs - for better or worse. My goal is to ensure my players feel seen, invested, and excited to come back each session. I emphasize player agency during my games, responding to the party's interests and play styles. I make sure to balance exciting, challenging combat with opportunities for each character to shine. Whether you're new to roleplaying games or a veteran player, I focus on creating a welcoming table where everyone feels comfortable, engaged, and invested in the adventure. If you're looking for a reliable, story-driven game that captures the classic heroic fantasy experience - heroes rising, legends forming, and rolling some dice - you'll feel right at home at my table.

Character creation rules are as follows: _ The campaign will start at 1st level. - Please use either POINT BUY OR STANDARD ARRAY for ability scores. - 2024 D&D rules, but I will help with converting any legacy content that you may want to use. Very happy to help with any character creation questions you may have.

Safety
How Garrett B. creates a safe table
My players' safety and fun is my number 1 priority as a DM. Safety tools are critical in creating a comfortable atmosphere for everyone at the table. We will go over safety tools in session 0 and ensure everyone is aware of how to use them throughout the game. I make sure to check in with my players before, during, and after the game. Players will also be able to privately share their lines and veils, and the X card can be played in multiple ways as a resource for the players' safety. Fostering a game where we can build community while rolling dice is critical to the success of each of my sessions.
