About the adventure

Having graduated from a training academy, you have decided to make a living seeking out and retrieving various valuable types of crystals, that are usually found guarded by dangerous creatures, and sometimes in exotic locales. Not the safest work, however, your training has prepared you for this. Surely.

About me

I have enjoyed running play by post, in person and online rpgs in different systems, including Dungeons & Dragons fifth edition, Pathfinder 1e, Pathfinder 1e Spheres of Power, and Fate Accelerated. A lot of rpgs can expand into other areas, and I am happy to see players becoming friends with each other, doing artwork and expressing themselves through other creative outlets, and in some cases going on to be DMs themselves. The Daggerheart system looks incredibly enticing, so I am looking into running games of that.

Character creation

Creating your character

There will be some premade characters available. For those already famliar with Pathfinder 1e Spheres of Power, character creation rules are: Level 1 20 point buy 150gp starting wealth, regardless of class, plus a free outfit of up to 10gp. Traits can change this as usual, eg rich parents. 2 traits, may take a drawback for a third trait. Good or neutral aligned characters only, no evil. Players and characters must be able to get along with each other. *** Spheres of Power stuff: Advanced/Legendary/Exceptional talents are allowed. Custom casting/martial/trade traditions are allowed, follow usual guidelines.

What Raymond brings to the table

I first learned about Pathfinder 1e Spheres of Power while on a play by post forum called Myth Weavers, and since then have been running a few in person and online games of it, which has been tremendously fun!

Homebrew rules

Some spheres may not be appropriate for the game due to either personal preference or my unfamiliarity with them (technomancy, veilweaving, tech, tinker, pilot, lancer, blood, parts of survivalism sphere). UPDATE: Having read up on the tinker sphere, I am now more familiar with it, so will be allowing it. Guided blast talent from the destruction sphere will cost 2 spell points instead of 1. Custom xp system. To get to level 2, will need 2 xp ticks. Then those reset to 0. Will need 3 xp ticks to get to level 3, etc. Deities from pathfinderwiki are allowed. If you have an idea for a deity who is not one of those let me know and we can discuss. Both spherecasting and normal vancian spellcasting will be present in this setting. Spherecasting is encouraged but not required. Some bring back from dead abilities may still cost components. Special rules for dreaming may apply.
