About the adventure
A fun homebrew one-shot where a group is assembled by legendary Treasure Hunter and Adventurer Aevna Dragonsbane. She has promised a hefty payment for any who will venture into the Southland Mountains and explore a new cave that emerged recently. This one-shot is a fun way for brand new players to learn the basics of D&D or for experienced players to try new characters or enjoy a contained, unpredictable adventure!

About me
I'm a Writer, Actor, and Game Master who loves giving my players a fantastic and fun experience with every session! I love curating roleplaying games to what the group wants! When I'm not working or running games, I'm hanging out with my 3 cats; Haru, Amos, and Cassian! :)

Creating your character
This is a one-shot, so characters can be built ahead of time in a Discord server or in the opening hour of the session. No restrictions on class, species, background, etc. Standard starting equipment and rolled stats. Will start characters at level 3, unless the party wants to start higher or lower, which I totally cool with.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Webcam and mic for playing through Discord (with Zoom as a backup if needed). D&D Beyond character sheet is preferred, but can track stats on paper or elsewhere if preferred. No knowledge of rules ahead of time, can teach as we play.
What Josh Lindquist brings to the table
D&D Beyond Master Tier Subscription, Inkarnate maps, improv experience, fluid gameplay and embracing the Rule of Cool (within reason). Just here to have fun and give the players a good time!

How Josh Lindquist creates a safe table
This one-shot would be rated PG-13 if it were a movie, with content that you would find in a Lord of The Rings film or the recent D&D Movie. It can even be scaled back to PG for younger players if requested. Since it is a one-shot, there will be no session 0, but before the game begins, every player will fill out the Monte Cook form and communicate any content that needs to be absent from the game. Player safety and comfort is top priority, anything can be adjusted to ensure everyone has a fun time and feels welcomed and safe in the game. The game will involve a group journeying into the mountains to explore a mysterious cave. There could be others who want treasures impeding the group or monsters inside of the cave.
