About the adventure
In a place covered by pristine yet dangerous waters, only a smattering of islands and landmass make their stay dotting the world like mice floating on wooden planks. Boats and other seacraft have been a gamble at best, especially for crossing long distances against the beasts of the ocean now fearless with their nigh limitless dominion. Since it became like this, though, the mortal races have adapted in their own special ways. The skies were never seen as the best means due to the great equalizer - dragons - but regardless the open air has been the most accessible in recent years for travel. As such, specialized aircraft have cropped up across different cultures and factions to facilitate trade and maintain contact, or, in dire circumstances, to depopulate islands that are consumed by ocean beasts or the waters themselves. You are a part of a group called the "Pelicans" that has taken to flying across several areas in the realm for different contracts - often salvage or delivery missions, the odd escort, and occasional sky skirmishes with other mercenary crews that are after the same deal. You're on your way to the next jobsite to scrounge after a ship was taken down by one of many beasts of the water, but despite any preparations made against wind-chill, something is sending tingles up your spine...stay cool?

About me
Since I started playing tabletops I've loved all the joy it brings people at a table. It's like going through a fantastical novel with a group of like-minded lovers of adventure! I've been GM-ing for about 10 years, and every session is worth the memorable experiences that I hope both I and my players receive.
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
You will be Level 1, and your characters can fit into any of the typical Draw Steel classes, but your abilities will not only be fitting into yourself but a part of your aircraft - consider how that might be! A Reaver Fury's aircraft could be shaped like a falcon beak to pierce nearby enemies and toss them through the skies or into the water below, a Null's Null Field could be a swarm of drones around their cockpit that erases hazards and boosts allies, and a Tactician's Mark could be a laser painting a target for his allies to lock-on and defeat them. Likewise, your ancestry can be reflected in your build. A Dwarf's craft could be hovering runestone hewn into the shape of a flying saucer, a Dragon Knight could have prismatic shielding that matches their scale color, and a Polder's craft could be barely noticeable darting between its crew.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will meet on Discord via voice (no vid required), and I'll set up a Foundry tabletop for the team once we have everyone together. Both are free and easily accessible
What William brings to the table
I try to provide everything I would want from the other side of the table; I like a balanced experience with a bit of everything. Tactical combat, interesting characters, a living world to be a part of...I love it all and I want to provide everything I can to my players. Aside from what I hope for, I can provide music, a virtual tabletop for tactical situations, and the best of my narrative skill to make a story worth being a part of.

-If there is a feature you get no use out of (as in it hasn't benefited you at all) and you could have chosen something else, you can swap it out at the end of the session for a different choice.

How William creates a safe table
We're all coming to the table to have a good time, and part of that is an open narrative about what people want and don't want to see. I make it clear that the door is open both in terms of discussion and your ability to leave for any reason, whether it be a personal emergency or otherwise. Life comes first and I'm sure I'll say it many times but we're all here for fun.
