Expect moral dilemmas, NPCs with their own desperate agendas, and a villain who isn't waiting for you to kill him. Strahd is active in this story, and a villain whom you will know well by the end. You’ll explore haunted manors, desecrated ruins, ancient catacombs, and cursed forests, piecing together the story of a land that lost its soul and the vampire lord who holds it captive. This game is for players who enjoy immersive storytelling, roleplay-rich sessions, and cinematic tension. I’ll tailor the experience to match your playstyle, from tactical combat encounters to deep, character-driven arcs. Creating your character
Character Creation will take place before Session 0 on D&D Beyond using the books provided in your campaign link. I will work with you to develop your character and integrate them into the plot, so do not worry if you are unfamiliar with the site 😊 Stats should be determined using the point buy method. Please avoid the use of 2014 spells, as they are now outdated. Players should avoid using setting specific species unless they communicate with me about the concept. We will be using the 2024 options/along with 2014 subclasses are available. If you want to use outside sources, please shoot me a message I will gladly take a look!

To keep things smooth and immersive, here’s what I ask from players before joining the table: • Have Discord installed with a working microphone (headphones encouraged to avoid echo) • Use a desktop or laptop computer – Foundry VTT does not support mobile or tablets • Stable internet connection – Foundry runs best with solid bandwidth and low latency • Review the campaign info – I’ll share tone, setting, and house rules so you know what to expect • Bring a collaborative mindset – This is a shared story; teamwork and creativity make it shine

How Bails O'Hay creates a safe table
I will privately send Veils and Lines documents to be filled out and sent back to me prior to Session 0. During Session 0 I will distribute a master document which will include all Lines and Veils without names. We will take a moment to read them and acknowledge them before continuing. X, N, and O cards should be directly messaged to me privately in discord.
