About the adventure
WHAT'S GOING ON You are one of the current crew aboard the Oliphaunt, a trade vessel working for the Evgeniya-Jaimisson Team more commonly referred to as EJ Corp. Your job is to take cargo and deliver it to its proper location, and to make the company money in the process. With each job completed, you'll get some decent kickback, and you'll get to keep flying. Of course, if things go wrong, it's your reputation on the line. as an EJ Corp employee, the job comes first, and the customer gets what they paid for in the end. WHAT FLY FREE OR DIE IS ABOUT Nothing goes as planned. As a member of the crew, you will select your role and purpose for being on the vessel. Characters will have the chance to explore their feelings about being part of EJ Corp but more importantly will get to explore a number of worlds. Eventually, however, you'll be flying for yourself with your own goals in mind. Whether that's flying with the Company, striking out on your own, or anything in between, one thing is true. You're going to need to make money to keep flying, and the jobs that pay best are hardly ever the safest. CHARACTER DRIVEN STORY AND DEVELOPMENT As a GM, I enjoy character investment in the setting and story. I find that integrating character backgrounds and goals into the story can lead to players that are invested in the game and brings amazing character development with it. Because of this, I enjoy players that want to bring in characters to grow as the story moves forward. For this, we will also discuss ideas individually as well as during Session 0 and group chats. My goal is to have players that want to work together, accomplish their goals while also helping others do the same. If this all sounds interesting to you, feel free to send me a message with any other questions or ideas. I'm looking forward to putting together this group and getting started!

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hello! I'm Chris, and I've been involved and enjoying TTRPGs since grade school, starting with D&D 3rd Edition and continuing through the current 5th Edition. Along the way, I've explored a variety of systems including Pathfinder, Savage Worlds, World of Darkness, and Shadowrun. I've also delved into narrative-focused games like Blades in the Dark, Scum and Villainy, and Avatar. I'll admit to having a bit of an addiction to collecting rulebooks from new systems—I love learning about them and running games for others. My passion for gaming truly ignites when I'm running a game for a group that's having a blast and feels sucked into the story. The more systems I learn, the more diverse and exciting the stories we can create together! I've been DMing professionally for about six years, initially running a few games weekly on Roll20. Now, I've expanded to running games throughout the week using Foundry VTT, a versatile platform for showcasing dynamic maps, images, and tracking character lore. For each game, I maintain an organized Discord channel where players can easily access game notes, session recaps, and loot information. I also provide a dedicated roleplay channel for those who enjoy developing their characters between sessions. My goal is to create a welcoming environment for everyone in my games. I take pride in helping players bring their character concepts to life, ensuring they work both mechanically within the system and align with the player's vision. If you're looking for someone who's passionate about collaborative group storytelling, captivating character development, and adventure that everyone can enjoy, I'd love to hear from you!

Creating your character
Characters will be created in Foundry and will advance in level with Free Archetype, Ancestry Paragon, and Gradual Ability Boost optional rules: https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=1297 For a complete list of Rules and Options you can also go to the Archives of Nethys at: https://2e.aonprd.com/ Characters will have all official classes, backgrounds, and other features available as they wish. Paizo does a great job at providing campaign specific options as well so feel free to check those out too! Starfinder 2e is compatible with most Pathfinder 2E content so if there is something that catches your attention, feel free to let me know. Players can contact me if they need assistance making characters, and I will gladly set up an out of session meeting on voice chat to guide them through the process if preferred.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I use voice in my games through discord so a decent microphone and good internet connection will be necessary. I use some animated maps in foundry, but I do what I can to keep maps small enough to run on most computers without issue. For my players, I expect them to know how their characters work and the basic system, but I am more than willing to help teach these and can spend some time making sure a new player understands the core features of their class. If necessary, I can also help with character creation in Foundry before, during, or after Session 0.
What Chris brings to the table
I use Foundry VTT and utilize the Forge to make servers are available between games if people want to tinker with characters or explore the VTT's features. I subscribe to several Patreons to provide interesting maps and effects in my games as well as a number of premium modules to keep things running smoothly. In each session, I will be prepared and excited to get started. I will do my best to ensure that all of my players are given chances at the spotlight and are encouraged to work together as a team. I will always be willing to listen as problems arise, and I am happy to problem solve issues if they occur. My goal is to create a fun experience at the table, and that fun comes from coming together to create an amazing collaborative story that we never forget.

How Chris creates a safe table
GETTING READY FOR THE GAME Before the game gets started and as players are joining the campaign, I will talk individually with each player about the themes of the campaign as well as answer any of your questions about the game, myself, or anything that you come up with. We will hold a Session 0 to go over things as a group to help make sure that everyone is on the same page while also giving people a chance to meet each other. I use session 0 to answer any lingering questions, to talk about character expectations, go over safety tools, and most importantly to get everyone excited to start the game! SAFETY TOOLS When it comes to safety tools, I prioritize open discussion and respect at all times. Because of this, we will discuss any foreseeable topics that you'd like to bring up individually while also talking as a group during Session 0 to make a list of Situational Lines we will not cross as well as the Veils that we'll place on scenes to fade away if things become too intense. I make myself available between sessions to chat about anything whether it involves questions about the rules, issues with the game, or just chatting about new character ideas. CATERING A CUSTOM GAME EXPERIENCE FOR EVERY CAMPAIGN I enjoy utilizing Roleplay between party members as well as NPCs to watch characters develop. Because of this Roleplay will be very common throughout most sessions. I also make it a point to add in exciting chances for dynamic combat. Enemies will be played with their own motives and goals, and the environment can and will be utilized to create tactical advantages for either side. I utilize foundry for combat so vision, cover, and more will be taken into account for combat. I adapt things for my players in both these cases. If the party prefers more roleplay to less combat or really enjoys the combat side of things, the adventure will reflect that going forward. This is also true for things like Puzzles, Survival, and Downtime Mechanics. We will talk about all of this during Session 0 so that I can get a good idea of what combination is going to lead to everyone having the most fun possible. When it comes to experience level, I'm fine with walking you through character creation and class features if you're brand new, and I'm just as excited to have someone that has been playing for years. This is a game for everyone, and welcoming everyone into the amazing experiences that this hobby can give is priority one!
