About the adventure

A Quiet Year is a unique storytelling experience where players draw a map together and narrate the story of a community rebuilding after collapse. There are no heroes, no battles — only decisions, discoveries, and the slow passage of time. Each iteration, players draw a card, interpret its prompt, and add to the map. You’ll sketch new landmarks, introduce characters, start projects, and resolve tensions. The game ends when the Frost Shepherds arrive — but until then, the story is yours. This campaign is: • Perfect for beginners and non-gamers • Focused on creativity, collaboration, and worldbuilding • Played with shared drawing tools and a deck of cards • Quiet, reflective, and emotionally resonant We’ll use a shared online canvas to draw together, and I’ll guide the rules and pacing so you can focus on storytelling.

About me

I like to learn new RPGs and systems so picking up a new game type is easy and enjoyable. I prefer open world type DMing based on the players backstories and play preferences. I never liked railroaded scenarios or DMs that ignored the actual players. That is why I got into DMing. I like to create open worlds when I can and do use or start from premade scenerios sometimes but like to create the world.
