About the adventure

Four centuries ago the god of art and music, Kyldos, died. Stories say all of his clerics and followers started going crazy screaming things such as "Music is dead there is no hope!". The music of that time, though quite depressing, was actually very catchy or so I've been told. Everyone has heard the stories of the darkness that followed. High priests and followers of different gods succumbed to madness as their gods stopped responding to them. To be clear, gods dying was not a common occurrence and no one knew such a thing was even possible. Even today historians still question what happened and continue to deliberate the real cause and reason for Godfall. As the different religious leaders and their followers began to point fingers and place blame, another god died, then another, and another. There was no sense of right and wrong up or down and before long a war spanning every corner of the world began. For over sixty years this brutal and bloody religious war claimed an innumerable number of lives. God after god ceased responding to their followers while their followers fought and killed one another lost without guidance from the divine. In the end, of numerous pantheons only nine gods remained along with their followers to pick up the pieces. Even centuries later the toll of the Godfall is still felt. Beyond the countless lives lost so too were art, music and technological advancements. On the Roaring Shores, those who survived the war began to rebuild. Some old kingdoms regained a modicum of their former holdings. At the same time new kingdoms arose, forming from the ashes of those that did not survive. Today these nations hold a tenuous peace, each kingdom doing its best to maintain its holdings. Rumors have it that some are raising armies with plans to push into neighboring kingdoms. Even more interestingly however, new societies have arisen dedicated to trying to discover what really happened during the Godfall sending adventurers into war torn battlefields, old temples and tombs seeking artifacts and knowledge. Other societies however seek to keep the secrets of the past hidden and actively work against those digging into the mysteries surrounding Godfall. Really though, I don’t have to tell you all of this, if you’re reading this then you too are from the Roaring Shores and likely more interested in areas of opportunity to advance your own story, fear not my friend, these pages are filled with all the knowledge you will need to achieve great things in these lands. I wish you luck, love and lore on your journey. With a song and a dance, -Prewis Felyirro -At its core, the story of your characters will begin with their admittance into one branch or another of the G.O.R.M. Guild of Registered Mercenaries. Think about why your character decided to join the guild and what they hope to accomplish as members of this organization. - Player's guide available upon request!

About me

My name is DerWolf I have been GMimg for over 30 years having started game mastering back in the days of second edition D&D! Today I run a number of different systems including; Pathfinder1e & 2e, Star Trek Adventures, Fallout 2d20, Battletech RPG, All Flesh Must Be Eaten, Dungeon and Dragons (All Editions) Call of Cthulhu7th edition and many other lesser known TTRPGs. If you have a system you'd like to try, message me and let's talk about setting up a game! My main goal in all games is to focus on the players enjoying each session. This is of course the responsibility of the Game Master but also falls onto the players to make sure they are working with the game master and the other players in the interest of collaborative story telling and good ole fashioned roleplaying fun. I strive each session to help everyone feel engaged and involved in the story so that the collaboration part of, collaborative story telling, is easy! If you'd like to talk about a custom game setting or specific system don't hesitate to reach out to me! I'm happy to work with you and your friends to set up the game of your dreams! With all that said, let me put it this way... "I'm the second best game master you know..." - DerWolf Happy gaming!
