About the adventure

Your party is tasked with escorting a prisoner from a maximum security facility - a facility designed to keep powerful mages with evil intent confined for a lifespan. The prison itself is a work of magical genius. There doesn't seem to be any reason to worry, but of course they wouldn't have hired adventurers (at great expense) if they didn't think games might be afoot. The question is, what games?

About me

Hi, I'm Jennylee, but you can call me Jelly. I’ve been playing tabletop RPGs for about 30 years, and for the last decade or so I’ve been running games as a Dungeon Master. I love collaborative storytelling, getting new players into the game, and keeping experienced players on their toes. In my spare time I make maps, create one-shots and campaigns, and adapt old stories to give them new life.

Character creation

Creating your character

We can work together to create a level 1 character before the first session starts, or if you already have one you'd like to use, send it for review. D&D Beyond characters are welcome. Any D&D 5e (2014) books are in play, as well as Tales of the Valiant.

What Jennylee brings to the table

My games embrace the Rule of Cool, and I love using customized encounter maps I've made as well as those produced for modules. I expect my players to try things I may not have prepared for and will always adjust on the fly. I try to find a balance between roleplay, combat, and individual character development for each player (if desired), and will check in on a regular basis to make sure all players are enjoying the game, and to address any concerns or questions they may have regarding the content, gameplay, and other players. Generally, I have a webcam on and like to see my players, but if they prefer to keep cam off that's fine too.

Safety

How Jennylee creates a safe table

I'll provide a document of rules for both the players and myself to follow, and have each player fill out a short document of their boundaries and preferences for gameplay, roleplay, and story themes. Session zero is a place to discuss characters, connections, and go over concepts like safety tools, aftercare, breaks, bleed, and more, for those unfamiliar with them.
