About the adventure
Lost Mine of Phandelver is a classic Dungeons & Dragons adventure designed as the perfect introduction to the game—without sacrificing drama, danger, or meaningful choices. Set on the frontier of the Sword Coast, the story begins with a routine escort mission and quickly unfolds into a tale of banditry, ancient secrets, and a legendary mine whose rediscovery could change the region forever. This campaign blends exploration, roleplay, and combat in a clear, approachable structure that’s ideal for new players, casual groups, or anyone who wants a grounded fantasy story with room to grow. You’ll explore dungeons, negotiate with factions, uncover conspiracies, and decide the fate of Phandalin through your actions. My approach emphasizes cinematic storytelling and character-driven play. While this adventure is beginner-friendly, the world still reacts realistically—clever planning is rewarded, poor decisions carry consequences, and combat can be dangerous if taken lightly. I focus on helping players learn the game naturally through play, not rules lectures. This game is perfect for: First-time or newer D&D players Groups looking for a complete Level 1–5 campaign Players who want a classic fantasy story with modern presentation

What Pacts & Polyhedrals - Asmo brings to the table
provide a fully guided, beginner-friendly experience with a strong focus on clarity, immersion, and player confidence. You can expect high-quality maps with dynamic lighting, atmospheric music, and clear visual presentation through Foundry VTT. NPCs are portrayed with distinct character voices, and player backstories are gently woven into the adventure to give each character personal stakes. My GM style balances Rules as Written with Rule of Cool. I explain rules as they come up, encourage creative problem-solving, and make sure everyone understands what’s happening and why. Combat is fair but meaningful, roleplay is encouraged, and exploration rewards curiosity. This campaign is designed to teach D&D naturally while still feeling like a real, complete fantasy adventure.
Homebrew rules
To keep gameplay smooth and engaging, the following house rules are used: Potions: Drink a potion yourself as a Bonus Action Feed a potion to an ally as an Action Powerful Criticals: Natural 20s deal maximum damage Blind Death Saves: Death saving throws are rolled in secret All rules will be explained during Session 0.

How Pacts & Polyhedrals - Asmo creates a safe table
We begin with a Session 0 to establish expectations, tone, and table norms. This game uses an Open Door Policy—players may pause, step away, or raise concerns at any time, no explanation required. At the end of each session, we’ll use Stars & Wishes as a short check-in to highlight what worked well and adjust going forward. The goal is a welcoming, comfortable table where everyone feels supported while learning and enjoying the game.
