About the adventure

A two-shot game (and a free session zero to go over rules, character creation, and boundaires). Using the rules light and very intuitive magic system from Kids On Brooms. Perfect for beginners or veterans of Table-top Roleplaying! Dive straight into the fun for some magical mayhem! In the modern town of Salem, a small coven has awoken from centuries of sleep. They have one night only, All Hallows Eve, to find their Spell-Book otherwise they will turn to dust at the light of dawn! The only problem is that the book has been stolen by pesky teenagers who are intent on hiding it from you! You can be anyone in this coven: Witch, Wizard, animal familiar, whatever works for you! There's enough depth to the Kids on Brooms System that you can customise your abilities to your character, while being simple enough to ensure that we can start playing quickly. Be prepared for a lot of spooky fun, one way or another!

Character creation

Creating your character

It would help if you came to the session with a strong idea of what sort of character you would like to be. But it isn't essential, you can land on something during session zero. A familiarity with Kids on Brooms is helpful, but not necessary. You'll be guided through the rules as we set the characters up and during play. You can just focus on your character and what hijinks they get up to.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Re-watching Hocus Pocus is probably the best way to prepare! Reading up on the "Kids on Brooms" rules would be super helpful - but isn't mandatory or required. - Roll20 and Discord accounts are required by players. Links to both will supplied - I'll invite you to fill out a Lines & Veils Document - Working microphone is essential - (Webcams optional)

What Alexander brings to the table

The game is theatre of the mind, but I supply a LOT of visual aids and ambient music for immersion. I use a combination of custom art that I have made and AI art.

Homebrew rules

I'm a fan of Rule-of-Cool. I'm open to considering any player suggestion on how to modify the game to best fit our group.

Safety

How Alexander creates a safe table

The tone will be of a wacky 90s PG film. Anything darker than that will not be appropriate for this one-shot A lines and veils doc will be sent out prior to the session for people to fill out anonymously The X, N, O cards will be on the digital tabletop
