About the adventure
The village is quaint, a bustling seat of one of the branches of the royal family. The deep roots and time-honored traditions have flourished in the embrace of the keep on the hill. Sequestered from the horrors of Drakkenheim, the handcarved meadhalls and hunting lodges that dot the streets serve as a reminder that life moves at a slower pace away from the disaster of the capital. Stay awhile and listen. Some tables ask what your character can do. This one asks what they're willing to lose. After a career change made TTRPGs my third place and eventually my vocation, what grew here is a place for people who want connection as much as adventure - and who've figured out those things aren't separate. Stories here are driven by desire. Your character has something they deeply need, and the world makes that need complicated, costly, and worth fighting for. The gap between who you are at the table and who your character is in the world - that's where we live. If you're looking for a place to optimize, there are great tables for that. 💅 Table Culture 💅 The community we've cultivated over the past several years has found themselves nestled in with fiction-forward, collaborative, RAWish style games. A risky choice with help from a friend for the things there aren't always rules for always feels like it leads to unexpected greatness. We often find ourselves using the good bones of a module while still having space to flex into unique stories. I'm just here to play as the world while you all connect the dots of your stories. Content + Safety Utilizing safety tools helps cultivate a positive and inclusive gaming space. Helping our partymates be awesome dovetails nicely here. We will utilize a checklist based on the TTRPG Safety Toolkit (Lines + Veils), open door policy, and stars + wishes. Non-featured content: harm to children or domestic creatures, explicit sexuality, sexual assault, systemic racism, homophobia, or transphobia. Allegories of racial prejudice + bioessentialism have been cut from official settings. ✋Zero tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination based on race, creed, color, gender, sexual orientation, or experience level. Please don't attend sessions under the influence of any substance to a noticeable degree. GM reserves the right to remove you from session if this becomes the case. GM reserves the right to remove a player immediately if violating any of these ground rules. 📏I run primarily Rules as Written (RAW), but I'm happy to ask 'what serves the story in this moment?'
