About the adventure
The Plot: You are members of the thieves guild, an organization with a surprisingly honorable code of conduct, your handler has sent you on a mission to steal from the Braquel Museum of Sundered History but in a twist of fate you and your allies are not the only ones stealing something from the museum. Uncover a dark conspiracy that has been in the works since the Sundering and the War of the Realms and become the unexpected protagonists working against these dark machinations. The setting: Xen’Ivia was once a paradise, a powerful magical utopia, the lands were rich and fertile with an abundance of flora and fauna and was known as “The pride of Quinthil” this age was a golden age where the very gods were recorded to be the most interactive with the world, guiding them towards a perfect future of peace. But this golden age made mortals complacent, made the leaders greedy and reckless and caused the progress of magical research to accelerate to dangerous heights and one fateful day during an experiment across all major cities reality shattered in an event that came to be known as “The Sundering” The fabric of reality was torn open and allowed beings from various different planes to pour through, the continent of Xen'Ivia became the battleground of a war that became known as “The War of the Realms” or simply the “Realm War” and the threat to the mortal realm was so great the gods themselves came to the aid of the mortals. The War of the Realms lasted 200 years and by the end of it Xen'Ivia was completely changed, the mortal realm was once again sealed off from the others and the gods, fearing an event like The Sundering happening again, stripped the power from the mortals. Those who came from other realms were now trapped here and were forced to integrate into society. After The War of the Realms the gods distanced themselves from their children, prayers were barely answered and those who were devoted to a domain were only granted the faintest of powers. Magical bloodlines found their powers diminished and arcane practitioners found that the laws of magic had been changed completely, forcing them to learn all over again. The major cities of this time were wiped from the history books, their names becoming the shame of Xen'Ivia, only the story (and warning) of their hubris remained. 300 years later and the Pre Sundering relics are being discovered, most are inert now and most serve as pieces of history in a museum, used as warnings in magical schools or simply the paperweight in some wealthy families house with no idea of what they have in their possession. The continent of Xen'Ivia has slowly regrown, however it is more dangerous than ever, beasts and creatures left behind from the War of the Realms lurk in the wilds, horrors from the depths of The Scar are clawing their way up to the surface, criminal organizations pop up faster than the guards can quell them and machinations of power hungry individuals lay undetected within the cities.

About me
Fueled by ADHD and caffeine and I have been running games since 2016. I like running a variety of different themed games from whimsical and fantasy to dark, gritty and sci-fi. (It honestly depends on what media I've been consuming at the time) I prefer running long-term campaigns in rich, custom worlds where I have a bit more wiggle room to manage the unpredictability of players. I enjoy rewarding players with custom items and feats depending on the trials and challenges they have faced or for unique milestones.

I'll be providing: Links to the roll20 game for battle maps. Links to Dnd beyond campaign for shared material. Links to discord server for audio.
What Zesk brings to the table
I enjoy trying to stick to rules as written for the most part but I often switch to rule of cool when it makes sense or just if the rules as written make things messy, complicated or unnecessarily difficult. I use kenku fm and a soundboard for background ambience and in-the-moment noises and effects. I try my best to do voices but I am in no way a voice actor so keep your expectations to a minimum haha. My games have a balanced mix of roleplay, puzzle solving and combat. My combat can vary from simple encounters that are easily winnable to more challenging battles that can push your characters to their limits.
Homebrew rules
Bonus action potion drinking. Using a full action to drink a health potion gets the max healing. Death saving throws are secret. There will be lockpicking and trap disarming minigames.
