About the adventure
Time breaks. The city burns. And you are standing on the battlefield at the very end of everything. In Battle at the End of Time, the characters are violently displaced from the present and hurled into the final moments of a catastrophic future war. The streets are shattered, the sky is fractured, and enemies fight with the certainty of victory. You are not here to win. You are here to endure. This is a combat-heavy, high-stakes one-shot focused on relentless encounters, battlefield movement, and survival under escalating pressure. Enemies adapt. The environment collapses. Time itself becomes unstable as past, present, and future overlap. The choices you make in this doomed future may echo back into the present… if you live long enough to return.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need Discord for voice and video, as well as the Fantasy Grounds Unity software, available from FantasyGrounds.com or on Steam. The server will be live approximately 1 hour before game time for players to create characters.
What DM Bob Yo brings to the table
I'll provide ambient music and sound effects, custom designed creatures and encounters, and more. For this one-shot, we'll mostly be Rules as Written, as it's designed to be a mechanical challenge.
Homebrew rules
- Delaying: Once during an encounter, you can choose to hold your entire turn, rather than just an action. You do so at the beginning of your turn, after any start of turn effects have taken place, at which point you select a new, lower number in the initiative order. This becomes your initiative for the rest of the encounter, and your turn immediately ends. Any start of turn effects that took place before you delayed in this round do not take place again when you take your delayed turn. - DM Inspiration: Once per session, the DM has a single DM inspiration that can be used to reroll or force the reroll of any d20. - Spell Change: Guidance: The duration is increased to 10 minutes. At DM Discretion, Guidance may be used on checks that represent a longer period of time. - Rules Change: Heroic Inspiration: Heroic Inspiration may be gained narratively, and may be spent for minor narrative control. - Class Changes Ranger, Hunter’s Mark: When cast by a Ranger, this spell does not require Concentration.
