About the adventure

Shadows grow on the horizon across the lands of Oerth as the pendulum again swings to favor the forces of evil. In the North, Iuz the Old gathers his forces, preparing to assault the free kingdoms of Furyondy and Velune. In the West, the mad king of the disintegrating Great Kingdom prepares for war against his neighbors. Even in the idyllic Kingdom of Keoland, where rulers gave up their imperial ambition centuries ago, forces work from the shadows to bring about the destruction of the realm. Join a grand adventure in the World of Greyhawk as your group of adventurers try to stop an ancient devastation from coming again. Our story begins as a young adventuring party arrives in the village of Oakhurst where an annual festival has been postponed and children are missing. Soon, the party is drawn to local ruins where they discover a hidden threat to the world above! This adventure takes place in a fantasy setting where players assume the role of heroic adventurers that stumble upon a cabal of wizards seeking to subjugate the known world. Characters can expect to advance from level 1 to level 15 or more by the end of the campaign.

Expanded Content is allowed for character creation, but Legacy and Homebrew are strictly not allowed. This is a World of Greyhawk setting. Safety

How John W. creates a safe table

Because the focus of the campaign is fighting a variety of evil monsters and their allies, the campaign has a lot of combat and violence. Themes like slavery, murder, and the inhumane treatment of others do come up. We will have a session zero to set expectations and discuss any lines or veils that should be included. You are always free to take a break with no judgment if things get too intense, and you can message me using the X, N, and O cards to signal that we need to move on from a tough topic or situation. At the conclusion of each session we can also take a minute to discuss what's happened so far and how everyone is feeling about the campaign.
