About the adventure
Learn character creation on two platforms, FGVTT and D&D Beyond. Play through a starting adventure like "The Lost Mine of Phandelver" or one of my own devising. You will learn about combat, crafting, role-playing and basics on how to use these functions in the two mentioned Virtual Table top environments. Planned as a 10 session learning platform but finishing earlier or later is all based on the individual. If you have learned all you wish in only 5 sessions, that's great! If you want to stay and learn more after 10, well that's ok too.

Creating your character
Character creation will be the subject of session 0. We will create the same character in both Virtual systems. Should anyone have issues we can focus on the one program and set up session 1 to continue. I will have a number of characters created and the goal will be that you can create that same character on your own. Once character generation is mastered we will move onto basic combat. Once we have combat down in session 2 or 3 we can move onto leveling characters and into the opening adventure to get a feel for role-playing and game flow. If you would like to download Fantasy Grounds Unity from their home webpage in advance that would be useful. You will have to create a free account on their web page, this will allow you to download the software. D&D Beyond requires no download to use but will still require you to create an account. What to expect
Preparing for the session
Think about what you would like to do as a player. Are you the type who likes getting into the front line and taking charge, or perhaps you prefer to hang back and provide intel or co-ordinate the battle. Are you more of a damage dealer or a crowd controller, maybe you prefer saving lives like a medic or doctor. Maybe you hang back in combat but step up when it comes to dealing with Vendors, Nobles, Guards and militias' , perhaps you are the groups leader and let both your fighting skills and your charisma do the talking.
