About the adventure

I NEVER CHARGE FOR SESSION 0 This is a custom campaign based around you, the players, using the world of Exandria. Much like CR2, it will be heavily crafted around the backstory that you make, and I will be making it entirely from scratch, while remaining faithful to the lore and time period. You're in Wildemount, during the war between the Dwendalian Empire and the Kryn Dynasty. All the while, ancient evils stir and plot on the sidelines, taking advantage of the chaos. The Party will start at level 3, and begin in the Vergesson Sanatorium. The Dwendalian Empire's most highly-secure prison, run by Master Ikithon, made for all manner of political enemies that have merely spoken out against the Empire. Amongst all of the cruel crimes being done there, a prison break happens, allowing the players a sense of comradery with eachother, and their potential freedom. After that, the story is up in the air! Depending on how the dice roll, and what the players do, determines what further happens in the story.

About me

Hello! I am a newschool DM, and I've had good vibes from the games I've been running. I am a big nerd in my twenties that has put way too many hours into games and TV shows. What really gets me into GMing D&D is that I can create something fun and tangible that people can enjoy and forget about the outside world for a little bit in. If people are happy then I'm happy. A video of the animated assets and sounds I provide is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Argn1eWRX9A

Character creation

Creating your character

Three main things: -Play what you want to play, homebrew or otherwise, but make it fit in a cooperative 5e game, and the lore of the setting. -Minmaxing, building for the highest AC and optimal damage is discouraged. I'm not here to kill your character. Take that situational mending cantrip! -I focus on character backstory and implement it into the game if we're running a campaign, but won't pressure you on it if you just want to chill. How will character creation work: -Using a link I provide you, you will use a character creator in D&D Beyond that shares all of the Races, Subclasses, and Spells that I have. Once a character has been made, I will press you to make/generate/find art for that character. I will then import your profile into Foundry when you're done. You'll roll and manage your inventory in Foundry. After that, we will talk about lore and some cool starting options that the Wildemount sourcebook provides. -Stat Generation is Point Buy -Theme is High Fantasy. Some early firearms exist. Magic is prevalent.

What Cro brings to the table

-Non-Serious - I take a generally relaxed approach with NPCs and battles. -Rules-Light: Rules are not held as holy and are bent at the GM's discretion for cool player moments. -Sourcebooks and Homebrew are allowed, though I ask that you make it easy for me to understand. Read character-creation for further specifications. -Foundry VTT is used for gameplay, Discord is used for voice, D&D Beyond is used for character creation.

Homebrew rules

-weight/encumbrance is not enforced -Non-magical ammunition is not recorded or enforced

Safety

How Cro creates a safe table

We will have a session zero. If I sense anyone is getting uncomfortable, I will calmly and quietly deal with the situation. My discord is open for messages during the game.
