About the adventure
This campaign is set in a world inspired by the spirit of The Legend of Zelda: a land of ancient ruins, wandering travelers, talking beasts, forgotten magic, and wild frontiers waiting to be explored. Using the Reclaim the Wild system, the game focuses on discovery, creativity, and the sense of wonder that comes from stepping into a world where every forest path and mountain ridge might hide a secret. The tone leans toward light high‑fantasy, with room for both whimsical encounters and moments of genuine heroism. Players will navigate a semi‑open world where exploration matters. The structure draws from sandbox and hexcrawl traditions, giving the group freedom to choose their direction while still uncovering a larger story that slowly emerges from the world around them. Crafting, gathering, and interacting with the environment are important parts of the experience, but the heart of the game lies in the characters and the choices they make as they shape their own legend. This campaign is ideal for players who enjoy a balance between narrative and exploration, who like discovering the world at their own pace, and who appreciate a setting where talking animals, unusual cultures, and fantastical landscapes coexist naturally. Whether you want to play a classic heroic adventurer or a more unusual creature from the wild corners of the world, there is space for your story here. Above all, this is a game about immersion, curiosity, and the joy of uncovering what lies beyond the next hill. The world will grow with the party, and the plot will reveal itself as the characters carve their path through it. If you’re looking for a collaborative, character‑driven adventure with room to breathe and explore, this campaign is built for you.

About me
Hi! I'm Tomás an experienced Dungeon Master with over 2 years of experience in Dungeons & Dragons and other role-playing systems like FATE and Marca del Este. I’m passionate about creating immersive and engaging adventures tailored to players of all levels, whether they’re new to the game or seasoned veterans. I’m currently managing a podcast and YouTube channel called El Castillo del Liche, where I dive deep into the world of role-playing games and geek culture. In addition to running games, I specialize in creating custom homebrew content, dynamic NPCs, and memorable storylines that make every session unique. As a historian in training at the University of Seville, I bring a rich narrative background to my games, using real-world history and lore to enhance the storytelling. Whether it’s epic battles, deep roleplay, or thrilling mysteries, I’m here to provide unforgettable adventures. Looking forward to playing with you soon!

Creating your character
Character creation will be discussed in detail during Session 0, where we’ll review the tone of the campaign, the available options within the system, and how each character fits into the world. Reclaim the Wild offers a flexible framework for building unique heroes, and we’ll use the system as written for most aspects of character creation. If the group wants to explore thematic or flavorful variations, we can address those together to ensure they remain consistent with the setting and balanced for play. Players are welcome to come with a concept in mind, but no preparation is required beyond that. During Session 0, we’ll walk through the steps together, answer any questions, and make sure every character feels grounded in the world and ready for the adventure ahead.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players don’t need much to get started. Before the first session, you’ll simply need a Discord account for voice communication and a Roll20 account to access the virtual tabletop. I’ll provide the server link and the game room once you join the campaign. Character sheets can be created either in the shared Google Sheet or directly in Roll20, depending on what the group prefers. Beyond that, the only real preparation is to come with curiosity and a willingness to explore the world. You don’t need deep system knowledge or extensive planning—Reclaim the Wild is easy to learn, and we’ll walk through everything together during Session 0. As long as you bring your character concept and the desire to play, you’ll be ready for the adventure.
What Tomix brings to the table
As a Game Master, I provide a structured, immersive experience built around exploration, character agency, and a world that reacts to the party’s choices. I prepare detailed environments, memorable NPCs, and a narrative framework that adapts naturally to the direction the players take. My goal is to create a setting that feels alive, where every region has its own identity and every decision helps shape the story that unfolds. I use ambient music and environmental soundscapes to support the atmosphere, keeping the focus on immersion without overwhelming the table. I enjoy doing character voices when it enhances a scene, though clarity and comfort always come first. Combat is designed to be meaningful and engaging, with enough tactical depth to feel satisfying while still maintaining a smooth pace. I aim for encounters that challenge the group without slowing down the flow of the session. When it comes to rules, I follow the system consistently, especially in a game like Reclaim the Wild where crafting and exploration have a strong mechanical presence. That said, I’m open to the Rule of Cool when it rewards creativity or makes a moment more memorable. I value fairness, consistency, and keeping the game fun for everyone at the table. Players can expect clear communication, a supportive environment, and a GM who listens and adapts. Whether the group wants to focus on character development, uncovering mysteries, or exploring the wilderness at their own pace, I provide the tools and structure to make the adventure engaging, coherent, and enjoyable from session to session.

How Tomix creates a safe table
I take player safety and comfort seriously, and I make sure everyone at the table feels respected, heard, and supported throughout the entire campaign. Before we begin, I provide a simple Lines and Veils document that players can review privately. They can add or adjust anything they need, and I treat those boundaries as non‑negotiable. During Session 0, we go over tone, expectations, themes we want to include or avoid, and the general style of play the group is looking for. This session also gives players space to express any concerns or preferences regarding roleplay intensity, conflict, or sensitive topics. For ongoing safety during sessions, I use a digital version of the X, N, and O tools. Players can type them in chat if they prefer discretion, or say them aloud if they feel comfortable. I always keep an eye on the atmosphere of the table and adjust pacing, tone, or scene focus whenever needed. If something feels off for anyone, we pause, recalibrate, and continue only when everyone is ready. After each session, I offer a brief moment of aftercare. This can be a quick check‑in through chat or voice, depending on what the players prefer. It’s an opportunity to decompress, clarify anything that felt intense, and make sure everyone leaves the game feeling good about the experience. My goal is to create a space where players feel safe exploring the world, expressing their characters, and enjoying the story without pressure or discomfort.
