About the adventure
This is a Homebrew setting that has themes taken from Norse, Welsh, and Irish legends that I have cultivated with my personal gaming groups over the last 3 years. It is a fairly standard fantasy setting that sets most monsters as Fey, a few Dragons that have been made stronger than normal, and a personal take on the story of King Arthur. Any level of player is welcome to join as you will all be starting as level 0 kids that will be discovering what kind of character you are going to be as you begin. The session 0 is free and is going to have some gameplay involved to help players come up with a fleshed out character and will be 4 hours long to make sure the gameplay is finished, then session 1 will be a time skip where you begin 10 years after the events of session 0 and at level 1, with any finalizations done through Discord so the characters are ready in time for the full priced game. There are some limitations for characters, but mostly thematic requirements on how your build presents itself so it stays on theme for the area. The only limit on character creation is to not use any setting specific character options, like warforged or one of the guild backgrounds from Ravnica for example, without express approval from the GM. So long as it is approved though, most ideas are free to use.

I am a non-practicing white man that is a feminist and father. I believe everyone deserves rights and wont tolerate hate or disrespect to anyone at the table. I have been playing ttrpgs for 15 years and running them for at least 10. I want to be able to provide everyone with a chance to play and love having new players at my table so I can share this great experience with them! I have the most knowledge about D&D, but love to branch out and play all sorts of games!

Creating your character
Character creation starts in session 0 and you will be starting at level 0 as a 10ish year old kid. The first paid session will be at level 1, but you will want to avoid building any specific character until after session 0. We will be using Standard Array and will have characters built in Roll20 and/or dndbeyond after session 0. The only real book you will want to look over is the players handbook so you will have an idea of what you want your character to be and how they work.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will want a Roll20, Discord, and maybe a Dndbeyond account. After you are accepted to the game, you will get the links to the Discord server, the roll20 link, the dndbeyond campaign, and a plugin that will link your dndbeyond and roll20 called Beyond20.
What RoguishGM brings to the table
I am capable at several voices and provide ambient music with Jocky Music in discord. I can do fairly tactical combat if wanted, am a huge fan of rule of cool, and enjoy storytelling and worldbuilding. There can be Drama, Romance, Comedy, and Trauma in my gaming style (within the bounds of Lines and Veils). I make a lot of maps on Inkarnate and the world map was made on Wonderdraft.
Homebrew rules
Drinking a potion as a BA, you roll the dice. Drinking a potion as a full action, you gain max HP. Crits are Impactful: you max your base dice then roll them and add them together. Ex.: 1d8+3 plus 2d6 sneak attack becomes 20+3 +1d8+2d6. (enemies get to Crit using this as well) Death Saves are rolled by me and you wont know if you are dead or stable until you are checked on by your party. Fated Inspiration. Each player has Inspiration immediately in game but it functions differently. You can use it to Reroll a dice or add a bonus to a roll to just succeed, but the next roll is at disadvantage or reduced by the bonus you succeeded at. Advantage Stacks. Every instance of advantage or disadvantage has a stacking effect; first is advantage, then every additional stack adds a +1 up to +5 on a roll. Disadvantage still negates these stacks and could reduce a roll up to -5.

How RoguishGM creates a safe table
We will be doing session 0 of course, but I will also be implementing Lines and Veils and the X card will have its own chat in the discord server. At the end of the session, i will ask everyone how they are holding up and if anything needs discussed in a private GM chat. There is a list of additional safety tools that will be implemented.
