About the adventure

This is a combination of all five one-shots in the "We Be Goblins!" series. They are fun, wacky, light-hearted adventures of 5 goblins with a knack for getting into more trouble than their peers. For beginners, this is a fun way to learn the game mechanics. For veterans of 1E, this will be a fun, little change of pace. In Golarion (The world of Pathfinder), Goblins are evil and mischievous little troublemakers. While you technically playing evil characters, these storylines do not require you to harm any good NPC's. Now, goblins do have a deep-seated hatred for dogs and horses, however, this is not a focus of the game and, should you encounter them as enemies, you will be free to find alternative solutions, if you so desire. There are 5 pre-generated characters for you to choose from. Four of them were created by Paizo and I created a fifth. These characters all have a place in the story as well as ongoing backstories. You also don't need to level any of them up as I have already done this for you. You are free to sit back and enjoy the fun while learning how Pathfinder 1E works, in game. You ARE free to make your own goblin character, if you want. There will be extra steps, however, through which I am happy to guide you, if that is your wish. The stories do not cover anything TOO dark (there are potentially sad parts). While I will be teaching you the rules, I am not going to ignore the Rule of Cool. If it looks good on the page/screen.... I might just find a way to make it happen. None of the enemies are too strong and you have more HP than normal so you have room to learn from mistakes. I don't want to kill your characters but, I will let them die. Realistically, that shouldn't be an issue in this game. There are a few puzzles and challenges in these games, mixed in with opportunities for glorious battles. Each section of the story happens at a different level so, you will become increasingly powerful as the story progresses from level 0 to level 6. Level 0 characters lack a PC class. They DO have an NPC class, however. You will start as level 0 goblin whelps and end up as level 6 goblin heroes. The enemies and challenges you face at each stage are appropriate for those levels as well. The five one-shots are included in the order in which they will be played: 1) We B4 Goblins! (Level 0) 2) We Be Goblins! (Level 1) 3) We Be Goblins Too! (Level 3) 4) We Be Goblins Free! (Level 4) 5) We Be 5uper Goblins! (Level 6) The order they were published in is 2,3,4,1,5; however, I feel that playing them in the order of character chronology makes more sense (and makes the last module more meaningful). If you have ANY questions or concerns; please feel free to contact me. Thank you for considering my game! I hope I get the opportunity to run this game (or any of my others) for you!

About me

Follow me on BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/crabhaus-gaming.bsky.social You deserve to enjoy your game. We all do. We all have different reasons for joining a table but, once there, we all want to feel powerful. Whether we are playing the hero, the anti-hero, or the villain; we want to experience an epic tale. This is exactly what brought me to the table over 30 years ago. It started with that very special Red Box and carried on to Marvel Super Heroes, Rifts, Vampire: The Masquerade, The HERO system, and many more. TTRPG's speak to my analytical side and my creative side. I love to see what I can build but, I also want to see what you can build. I have spent over three decades in gaming learning from fellow players and GM's. Now, I want to learn from you. So, after all this time, what kind of GM am I? I'm what happens when a theatre major becomes a power gamer. I dig into the lore and the rules because I want to understand how to run the game. I prepare for my games like an actor preparing for a role; only, as a GM, I am playing all of the roles except yours. On Roll20, where I run my games, my Display Name is "Everybody Else." It's not me against you. I want you to succeed and feel powerful doing it. I want you to feel safe and valued here as well. The only thing I will not tolerate is intolerance. I welcome everyone from power gamers to beginners. I also welcome your criticism. I need it to grow and I will never stop growing as a GM.

Creating your character

This game includes 5 pre-generated characters which are automatically leveled up. All you have to do is choose one. Contact me if you would like to make your own.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All you need is active accounts on Discord & Roll20, an internet connection, computer, microphone/speaker combo, but the camera is optional. We will probably use Zoom for voice/video chat but, Discord is also an option. Other than the technology, all I require is an open mind, a welcoming attitude, and the desire to have fun. This isn't a very serious game and it certainly isn't dark. It's meant to be a fun way to learn the game for beginners and a fun diversion for veterans.

What Crabhaus Gaming (C.J.) brings to the table

This game will be played on Roll20, using their new Jumpgate platform. I use the Pathfinder Community Character Sheet. Your character sheets are completely setup and leveled. You simply have to choose which one you want to play. All the macros should be included but, if not, I can write them quickly. All maps use dynamic lighting, including interactive doors and windows. Every encounter has a map. Some maps were provided by Paizo, some were found on line, and I made the rest. I will have background music playing through Roll20's Jukebox, including ambient sound, mood, and battle music. I do my best to do as much voice acting as possible; when appropriate. Occasionally, I use a voice modifier. The Rule of Cool is embraced when appropriate. When you disagree with a ruling, we can discuss it quickly. If you can cite a source, I would appreciate it and we can come up with a new ruling, if appropriate. Otherwise, we will move forward with my ruling, HOWEVER, we can discuss it offline. I am happy to change my mind if you can sell me on it. I learn by being proven wrong and I love to learn. As for preparation, everything has been prepped ahead of time. I have notes on every encounter, challenge, skill check, and mechanic involved. Everything is kept in OneNote. I assure you, I have read through every word of this module and I am not running this on the fly. I will provide you with a Discord Server specific to this game where we can discuss the game and coordinate play. Each session will be scheduled there and all announcements will be made on that platform. This also allows you to message me directly when needed.

Homebrew rules

Your characters have more HP than usual because I want you to survive. That doesn't mean you can't die, it just means that I don't have to fudge as many rolls in your favor. Other than that, there are no other homebrew changes.
