About the adventure
This is not another tired tale of fiery dragons and world-saving heroes. You serve The Black Ledger — a semi-sentient infernal artifact that assigns you missions, tracks your successes, and claims the souls of those who fail it. You answer to The Overseer, a fallen paragon whose faith in flawed justice led them to embrace a darker truth: that the rotten systems keeping the world “stable” must be surgically removed — by any means necessary. In The Black Ledger, you are not heroes. You are elite operatives of a secret order entrusted with destabilizing cities, executing precision strikes, and reshaping nations through shadow, sabotage, and force. Your first mission begins in chaos — aboard a sabotaged airship plummeting toward the forest near a city you’ve been tasked to overthrow. Survival is not guaranteed. Consequences are. Combat, politics, and lingering consequences are core pillars of the campaign — your choices will ripple outward and transform the world around you. 😈 Level 5 to 16 😈 2024 + 2014 Characters allowed 😈 Artwork - hand picked for this campaign 😈 Music - playist of music to fit every scene and moment 😈 Dynamic Combat - built by hand for foundry. It will be strategic, dynamic, and be about more than just bashing the enemy. 😈 FUN - WHO DOESN'T WANT TO BE BAD SOMETIMES!

About me
For the past five years, I’ve been building and running worlds where every choice matters, every NPC has a secret, and every session feels like an episode worth remembering. My games blend the comedy and camaraderie of NADDPOD, the cinematic storytelling of Dimension 20, and the emotional depth of Critical Role — creating experiences that balance heart, humor, and high-stakes heroics. I love crafting homebrew worlds filled with mystery, politics, and myth — but I also bring that same immersive energy to published adventures, giving them new life through dynamic narration, roleplay-driven choices, and custom lore tailored to your party. Whether you’re chasing dragons, uncovering conspiracies, or just trying to survive a tavern brawl gone wrong, I’ll make sure every moment feels alive and unforgettable. Outside of rolling dice, I’m constantly studying what makes great storytelling work — from cinematic pacing to character arcs — and I bring that mindset to every campaign I run. My goal? To make your session feel like your favorite episode of a long-running fantasy series: funny, emotional, and epic in all the right places. If you love character-driven stories, immersive worlds, and a DM who can laugh with you while still pulling your heartstrings then pull up a chair, grab your preferred snack and beverage, and join the table!

Creating your character
Characters will be created before the first session. I am available to answer any questions and make sure everyone is comfortable and has their character ready. Backstories should be written before session 1 as well.
Party is level 3. Warlock, Monk, Fighter/rogue.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a D&D Beyond account, and a Discord Account. A decent mic, headset and computer are also required. Other than that there is nothing players need to bring with them to session.
What Pharoah brings to the table
I provide a collection on D&D Beyond which gives the players in my campaigns access to all of that content. Foundry VTT a powerful software with dynamic lighting and special effects capabilities.
Homebrew rules
😈 Potions: It is a bonus action to swig a potion. 😈 Critical Hits: Critical hits cause the damage on the dice to be doubled instead of rolling extra dice. 😈 Critical failures and Critical Successes: If a roll results in a natural 1, it is considered a failure. On the other hand, if the roll is a natural 20, it is always a success and may also have additional benefits, which are determined by me. 😈 Death Saves: Death saving throws are done privately. 😈 Stealth Outside Combat: Players make (Dexterity) Stealth rolls only when someone is in a position to see them or look for them. 😈 Investigation Checks For Traps: When searching for traps, the person checking will roll a check once and continue to use that result until a trap is found in order to avoid constantly rolling.

How Pharoah creates a safe table
This campaign is designed for players who enjoy dark fantasy with a sense of fun, similar in tone to Escape from the Bloodkeep or the game Overlord — where you play powerful, morally gray (or outright villainous) characters navigating a dangerous world that pushes back hard. A typical session begins with everyone logging into D&D Beyond, joining Discord, and then entering the Foundry VTT. Once everyone is ready, we jump straight into the action. Exploration, role-play, and combat are all major pillars of the game, with a strong emphasis on immersion and momentum. I run games with a healthy mix of serious and lighthearted moments. The story and stakes are real, but there is absolutely room for humor, personality, and character-driven chaos when it fits the scene. You can expect a highly immersive experience: Detailed maps and animated scenes wherever possible Clear narrative descriptions of environments and events Strong NPC roleplay, supported by voice acting and voice modulation Character death is a real possibility, especially at lower levels. I do not pull punches, and I let the dice fall where they may. Some threats will be manageable, others overwhelming — knowing when to fight, flee, or adapt is part of the game. This approach creates tension, adrenaline, and a world that feels alive rather than scaled perfectly for player comfort. I expect players to: Be on time and ready to play Stay for the full session unless an emergency arises Remain in character as much as possible Avoid metagaming This is a mature campaign, and difficult themes may arise naturally through the story. That said, player comfort matters. If there are any specific topics or boundaries you would like to avoid, you are encouraged to message me privately at any time. I use safety tools such as Lines & Veils and an Open Door policy to ensure everyone feels respected and safe at the table. There will be a 10-minute break around the midpoint of each session for snacks, drinks, and bio breaks. This game rewards engagement, creativity, and commitment — if you’re excited to lean into a dark, high-stakes story where your choices shape the world, you’ll feel right at home here.
