About the adventure

--- The Benefactor is open to everyone whether you’re rolling your very first character or you’ve been adventuring for years. If you love the chaotic found-family energy of The Legend of Vox Machina, the strange beauty of the Feywild, and a creeping horror twist set within the Forgotten Realms, this story may be calling your name. This campaign leans heavily into immersion. I’m actively working on my voice acting, so expect distinct NPCs, layered personalities, and moments that feel alive at the table. I run a relaxed, welcoming game but one where you should never feel too comfortable. I love keeping players on their toes in ways that feel earned and story-driven. The Benefactor might start small. A letter from a mysterious gentleman, insisting it’s in your “best interest” to meet at a tavern. Simple enough. And then suddenly… it isn’t. Before long, strangers become something closer. Fire forges bonds. And being taken to another realm doesn’t seem nearly as terrifying when you’re standing beside the family you never expected to find. If you’re ready for mystery, and meaningful chaos then I’ll see you at the tavern.

About me

I'm twenty-three years old and have been playing and being a DM for less than a year. D&D has become my focus, as it gave me a meaning that nothing else has. D&D is more than just roleplaying; it gives you confidence, inspires you, and builds connections and skills to work as a team. I find that completely beautiful, which is why I want to run campaigns to see all types of characters and watch as you become a completely different person. Horror is a major focus point for the majority of campaigns, as I find that when thrown into something horrific, a lot of my players surprise me by seeing the good in the NPC, bringing hope or (mayhem), as it shows that while a campaign might be horror and dark, it doesn't have to be bleak and hopeless. I love getting to know my players, not only because it's important as a DM, but I believe it helps build trust so they feel like they are able to come to me with any issues, as sometimes I'm finding out that when you're a DM, sometimes they don't want to bother you with a problem, and I always say no problem is a silly problem if it's bothering you, and I love to have a chat, even if it's not about the campaign. I think in my heart I'm an entertainer and make sure everyone has a good time.

What Amy brings to the table

i embrace rule of cool as i value story telling over mechanics, i like to use voices to help set scenery and i play music for ambience to help set the scene, this campaign will be around 60 to roleplaying and 40 to combat but will be adjusted for preferences for players

Homebrew rules

drinking health potions is a bonus action, i have two homebrew death rules the last stand and a deal with the devil

Equipment needed to play

Internet
