Creating your character

🔹 Character creation details can be discussed and changed! This is YOUR game after all. This is just a basis on what I typically allow. 🔹 I will be using Discord to help walk you through the character creation process, but please don't hesitate to ask if you need any help or have any questions. This game is open to new players, and I am happy to answer any questions and provide guidance. I also allow homebrew (custom content) and third-party content, with the disclaimer that if something is too powerful, we may need to adjust it to maintain fairness between players. I am willing to work with players to help them create the characters they want, including custom races or other special abilities. Here are some additional details about character creation: ✅ We will be using several Homebrews that help flesh out 5e. We will discuss more once you sign up. ✅ Level 1 start, with the option to Gestalt and/or Dichotomous. ✅ Free feat at Level 1. ✅ Heroic Array: 18, 17, 16, 15, 13, 11 ✅ Maximum HP ✅ Start with a Magic Item or Two (Within Reason) ✅ Starting Gear ✅ Be thinking about backstory and what kind of character you want to be. Think about what your home life is like and who your parents might be! Whatever you choose, you will be able to explore and expand your power and strength in the familiar world of Hyrule whether you fight to protect the land or to consume others in your darkness, your name will be marked across The Land of Hyrule.

Preparing for the session

This is an asynchronous play-by-post game played by Discord with the Avrae bot. This means that posts will be made throughout the week; it's to the pace of the group. All playing will be done by text, making things accessible for those who aren't able to use voice. I will update at least daily. You will get to experience the story and the roleplay, while also learning about--or getting more experience with--play-by-post format and Avrae. ✅ Download Discord: https://discord.com/ Once you sign up, message me on Discord. The game itself will start once everyone is ready (you will not be charged until we begin). =============== PLOT: Expanded - The story takes place in The Land of Hyrule. Hyrule is very traditional sword and sorcery kind of world, where there is all sorts of races that inhabit it depending on what era you wish to start in. The world you will start in will be an era of the World without any Chosen Ones or Heroes. Depending on when you start the story and who you play as will change how the story begins.

Ben, your GM, provides an incredible experience, with the help of various tools from 10+ years of experience with text roleplay. His games include: 🔹 Working one-on-one with you to weave your character backstory in and make this a unique experience. 🔹 Adding his own twist to the story and accounting for character actions and interactions. This is not a static world, and the echoes of the party's choices will be seen. 🔹 Giving characters boons and magic items and scaling up monsters to make combat engaging and challenging. Monsters will not hold back, but the DM will root for your success. 🔹 Creating NPCs with motivations and personalities, who may help or hinder the player characters. Maintain friendships, rivalries, make enemies or even potentially lovers (with consent). 🔹 Customized heroic rivals that will try to oppose the party at every turn. 🔹 Custom (homebrew) content and systems for various character creation rules. 🔹 Pre-generated characters or concepts, in case you do not wish to create your own.
