Creating your character

I will allow any official D&D content (within reason, please flavor if it's from another setting). We have a way of wiggling in just about anything. The rest is on character creation: ✅ Choose from 2014 or 2024 rules. ✅ Start at Level 2. ✅ Background feat from Level 1 (2024-style). You can customize your background. ✅ Use my custom array: 18, 17, 16, 13, 11, 8 (distribute in your choice of order) ✅ Choose an Epic Path or work with the GM to make your own. (Epic Paths are found on the Discord) ✅ Choose one uncommon and two common magic items from any WotC source. ✅ Start with starting equipment AND starting gold. ✅ You may choose from all races, classes, backgrounds, and other PC options in any officially released D&D 5e product as well as the Odyssey Player's Guide. (see below for custom/homebrew/third-party/unearthed arcana). Want to just hop in, or get inspired for a character? Preparing for the session

This is an asynchronous play-by-post game played by Discord with the Avrae bot. This means that posts will be made throughout the week; it's to the pace of the group. All playing will be done by text, making things accessible for those who aren't able to use voice. I will update at least daily. You will get to experience the story and the roleplay, while also learning about--or getting more experience with--play-by-post format and Avrae. You do not need to know Avrae, or any of the other tools. I can teach you. What Dreams & Eni brings to the table

Enigma, your DM, brings over 20 years of text roleplay experience and utilizes various tools to craft an unforgettable experience as he blends his skills with forum-based roleplay as well as dice-based roleplay. In his games, you can expect: 🔹 Personalized character backstories woven into a unique narrative 🔹 A dynamic world that reacts to the party's choices and interactions 🔹 Engaging and challenging combat with boons, magic items, and scaled monsters 🔹 NPCs with distinct personalities and motivations, offering opportunities for friendships, rivalries, and even romance (with consent) 🔹 Customized rivals to oppose the party at every turn 🔹 Additional monsters from various sources and custom content from the DM and third-parties 🔹 Pre-generated characters or concepts for those who prefer not to create their own Dreams will bring their knowledge of Avrae VTT and share resources with Enigma to enhance the overall experience.

Homebrew rules

Spells will be the 2024 versions with the following changes: 🔷 Paladin's Divine Smite is not a bonus action. It is also not a leveled spell. 🔷 Spiritual Weapon is not concentration. 🔷 For the 2024 Hexblade, Hex is non-concentration. Other Homebrew/Custom rules: 🔷 Flanking provides advantage. 🔷 Scrolls can be used by anyone. Arcana DC: 10 + spell level 🔷 Critical damage: maximum on the second damage dice. (Will change this if players vote against it.) 🔷 I can include Critical Hit/Fumble tables if players want. They can only happen to a character once per round.

How Dreams & Eni creates a safe table

This game is currently for all ages, but if younger players are involved, we will not include any darker topics. 🏳️‍🌈♾️👨🏾‍🦲 This is a safe table for people of all types. Dreams is trans and queer, Enigma is LGBTQIA+, and we are both neurodivergent. We hope to make a place where all can feel accepted, regardless of race, gender, beliefs. 👨🏾‍🦲♾️🏳️‍🌈 Safety tools will always be in effect; this game is a safe and inclusive place. We will use safety cards, Monte-Cooke consent form, lines and veils, and any other safety tools the group needs. Both Enigma and Dreams are neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+, and seek to provide a safe table for all players. Accessibility is a big part of the game, and accommodations will be made to meet your needs so that you can have fun.
