About the adventure
Set in the Forgotten Realms on the Sword coast, Phandelver and Below takes the popular starter set campaign Lost Mines of Phandelver and expands it by continuing the story with the Shattered Obelisk! As this campaign was designed for the starter set, it is very friendly to new players, but also has plenty of intrigue and hooks for experienced players as well. Starting from level 1, the complete journey will take players all the way through level 12.

About me
Hello, I'm Unipants! I've been a tabletop gamer for my entire life, so nearly 40 years at this point. I've enjoyed everything from Chutes and Ladders to games like Gloomhaven and Eclipse, and many more in between! I've been playing D&D for about 5 years, and I've taken the dive this year into DM-ing. I've done some one shots and am now looking into running campaigns. I was a theatre kid in high school and loved telling stories, and getting to build out the stories with players is an exciting prospect!

Creating your character
Characters can be created prior to session 0. Point buy will be used. Characters should be created on DND Beyond. Official source books can be used, and characters will start at level 1. Any character creation questions can be sent to the DM or we can spend some time in session 0 finishing out character building.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a Discord account, Roll20 account, and a DND Beyond account. A Discord invite will be sent when the request to join the game is accepted.
What Unipants brings to the table
I embrace more of the Rule of Cool over RAW. If you have a case for why you should be able to do something that isn't standard, I'm almost always going to listen to see if it is something we can do! I run combat as though I am roleplaying the NPCs themselves, which means I try to have them act based on their personality, personal motivations, and abilities.
Homebrew rules
Drinking a potion is a bonus action. Giving a potion to another character is a full action. Critical hit rules will be decided during session 0.

How Unipants creates a safe table
Session 0 will set explain the X, N, and O tool. They can be spoken, messaged in chat, or directly messaged to the DM, whatever the individual is comfortable with. We will also go over a lines and veils document to make sure everyone is clear on what is possible and what they do not want to see.
