About the adventure
Responding to prior disappearances, you and your fellow Lancers find yourselves similarly shipwrecked on a planet where the nearby sun's light barely makes it through the clouds, a land where the populace keeps their heads down for fear of being noticed by the horrors that stalk this land of Wallachia. Trapped on this world, you and your fellow Lancers fight to survive and to escape this horrific land ruled by Count Vlad. ā Fight mechs and other enemies inspired by horror tropes and classic monsters. š Journey across a land of city and wasteland and uncover the mystery that shrouds this land and its ruler. š§āāļø Unravel the mystery of the Soul Trap, some force that binds the souls of the dead to forever be trapped in this land. ----- One part gothic horror, one part mecha action movie. This is a custom Lancer campaign drawing heavy inspiration from the Dungeons and Dragons module Curse of Strahd. It leans into the horror of that adventure, as well as a strong cyberpunk aesthetic. It takes place in the default Lancer setting, though almost entirely on one world, largely separate from the setting at large.

About me
Hi there! I have been a game master for over thirteen years now. In that time, I have run games in a variety of different systems and genres, both online and in person. Getting to explore the ins and outs of a new system is a particular joy, one that is overtaken by being able to collaborate with players and work together to tell a story we'll all remember. I generally consider myself a bit of a mega nerd. A lot of my childhood was spent reading things like āStar Wars: the Essential Guide to Charactersā and other such books, and when I began to delve into the internet, reading various fan run wikis. Lately, Doctor Who and Gundam have been by major nerd spheres of interest.
View Profile āCharacter creation
Creating your character
We will go over most relevant parts of character creation during session zero, however players can do as much work on their characters as they want beforehand if they want. Material from all official sources is allowed, and third party material may be allowed if you ask. Player characters will start at LL0.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will be expected to have the following: -A discord account -Decent Internet -A decent microphone -To be fairly audible and not have a ton of background noise Foundry will be used for all virtual table top purposes, so a computer that can access foundry will be needed. No accounts need to be made. Knowledge of the system is not required, just let me know, and I can take some time to go over the system with you.
What Char brings to the table
I have a fair amount of genre knowledge, and have years of experience as a GM. I tend to do some voices for characters, nothing professional by any means, but enough to distinguish between various characters encountered. Over the last two years, I have been delving into a lot of the history of the mecha-genre, and am fairly well versed in its various tropes, and a fair number of series in the genre. I also have a decently sized and accessible library of various token art for players to peruse to use for their mechs, and can provide resources to find art for player characters.

How Char creates a safe table
We will go over all safety policies in session 0, and discuss if anything else needs to come into play, especially specific triggers that might come up. In being based on Curse of Strahd, this game will lean into some horror elements, though I would not consider it to be primarily horror in nature.
