About the adventure

In this beginner friendly game we will learn the basic of dice roles, role play, and world exploring. While there are mostly rules to adhere to, the rule of cool is king. Meaning if its a dope idea for the character, scene, role-play, and/or encounter but potentially against the rules, I'll allow it within reason. We're here to have fun so be imaginative and open-minded. I like to role play and can be very descriptive. I'd love for you to ask questions about the scenes and settings as we play, especially for better understanding of your character's surroundings. Put yourself in your Player Character, PC, shoes. What would you/they look for? What would you/they ask about? How would you/they feel? What would you/they care about in specific moments? What would you/they do? Finally, be imaginative and as descriptive as you want. I will not force you to role-play or describe every single agonizing detail. Keep in mind that the more descriptive and the more you play to your PC, the more emersed you will be in the game and world. Also it's just more fun getting so involved.

About me

Hey I've been a fan of D&D for years but never played. I recently started playing because I couldn't find a DM so I became one. I've been DMing 5e for 2 years. I love telling stories and the creativity that comes with world building so the cooperative story-telling of D&D caught my attention and I've been playing ever since. I still consider myself a rookie DM but my lack of experience, I think, is overshowed by my storytelling. Let's play!!

Character creation

Creating your character

one on one character sessions before the campaign begins. D&D 5e I will provide character sheet as we build together, esp for first-time players. I use talespire vtt so we will also design your character in Hero Forge

The current party

We continue we our adventure after the party finds and battles a serial killer which happened to the the mother of the "Chosen One." Where will Butchreef take us next?

What Tenka Willz brings to the table

I do like using voices and role play. combat will be mostly rules as written but can be overwritten by rule of cool. It helps if you are descriptive in your characters' actions

Homebrew rules

critical hits= max die + 1dx meets it= half damage (round down, to hit vs ac) TWF style + dual weapon = 1 attack action you can attack with main hand and off hand Mob rules (spillover damage)
