About the adventure
Saltmarsh sits on the edge of the sea. Most folks make their living from it. Some lose everything to it. • Explore the coast Shipwrecks. Sea caves. Forgotten islands. Places where old stories refuse to stay buried. • Get involved in town Smugglers. Merchants. Fisherfolk. Saltmarsh has problems, and everyone has an opinion about how to solve them. • Build something of your own Establish a bastion. Defend it. Watch it grow alongside your reputation. • Chase treasure and trouble Lost cargo. Ancient relics. Things pulled from the depths that probably should have stayed there. • Decide what kind of mark you leave The choices you make shape the town, the people around it, and the waters beyond. The sea brings opportunity. It also brings danger. And Saltmarsh has a habit of pulling people into both. [[Beginner & LGBTQIA2S+ Friendly]] -------------------------- 📣See what Victoria has to say about my DMing: ⭐"I cannot recommend Leland well enough, especially as a GM to those who are new to TTRPG's. I am extremely new to D&D--only watching content online--and, through Leland's Lost Mine of Phandelver campaign, decided to try my hand at playing. Not only was he more than happy to help me when it came to the character creation process (answering very quickly to any questions/concerns I had, reviewing my character sheet, and explaining parts of lore), he also made sure I had access to all the online materials needed and provided a welcoming introduction to his community (and my party members). Our session 0 was astounding; I was nervous to start, but soon realized that Leland creates a welcoming, explorative environment that truly allows all his players to shine and feel safe. Through inquisitive character building questions, party trust and bonding was established quickly. If you're looking for a GM that will help you develop a noteworthy character and their story both in relation to the party and the world while also having fun, look no further. I am extremely excited for the sessions to come."

About me
Hey everyone, I’m Leland. Some of y’all probably know me online as Leopold the Just. I’ve been obsessed with tabletop RPGs since the early 2000s and somehow still love this hobby just as much now as I did back then. Outside of GMing, I’m usually at concerts, playing board games, getting lost in strategy games and RPGs, camping, traveling, trying good food, wandering through museums and aquariums, or planning my next tattoo. As a GM, I lean hard into strange mysteries, creepy places, emotional roleplay, and NPCs that stick with people long after the session ends. Some games feel cozy. Some feel awful in the best way possible. Sometimes both happen in the same night. If you like character-driven stories and worlds that react to what you do, you’ll probably fit in just fine at my table. --- What to expect at my table and in the community: • Story-first sessions with a big focus on character growth and roleplay • Fast, cinematic combat that stays tense and easy to picture • A world that reacts to what you say and do • Group storytelling and shared worldbuilding where your choices leave marks behind • A relaxed, inclusive space where people can show up as themselves • $5 community one-shots for active members that mix players from different campaigns together • Community hangouts outside the games too: video game streams, board game nights, watch parties, and more! So pull up a virtual chair and let’s tell some stories together!

How Leland H. (Vacation: 10/18-11/3) creates a safe table
Before the game, I’ll send out a quick Google Form where you can share your lines, veils, and interests. I’ll compile everything into a short PDF and share it with the group so we’re all on the same page. We’ll briefly go over that at the start of the session before jumping in.
