About the adventure
This is not the America you know. Dark forces that are beyond human ken have laid claim to the American West. Now known as the Lost West, the Territory from Texas to Oregon have been consumed. The American government, with few options, has accepted and legitimized Hunters as government agents. Coming from many organizations and with a wide variety of methods, Hunters have come to the Lost West to do their duty and burn the taint from the land. It is 1885, and you will ride into hell. Your team is likely a loosely bound group of people who have no right associating with each other in broad daylight. Priests with blessed silver mingle with thugs who turned their skill at murder into a righteous profit. Drunks and academics get together and discuss the beasts they put down. Your group is likely no different, as the scope of the horrors you will face is broad as it is evil. Take your team, cherish their diversity, and their quirks. You will not survive alone. This game of Hunter the Reckoning 5e is not set in the modern era. The Second Inquisition is not even a dream in anyone's eye. Instead this takes place in an alternate 1885 where shortly after the end of the American Civil War a supernatural darkness took over the American Wild West. From this darkness came creatures of an unnatural disposition. There was a slaughter as Americans tried to defend their homes but were overwhelmed. In the end, the territory was deemed lost, and lines of defense were drawn. After several unimpressive military excursions and actions to retake parts of the reason, the American government desperately sought to legitimize Hunters. Now, with territory slowly being reclaimed, Hunters stalk the Lost West for honor, revenge, fame, gods, or fun.

About me
Hello, my name is Oscar and I am a game designer and active GM! I hope to GM a wide variety of games for an equally wide variety of people so that I can experience more perspectives on TTRPG's. I like the strange and the niche and want to bring unique TTRPG experiences to life! I've been a GM since 2017 and in that time I have run a number of different types of game. From galaxy spanning space adventures to gritty and cruel low fantasy I can run a variety of different tones and settings. I tend towards more combat but I am just as happy to run more story and role-play focused games. I'm not overly attached to any one system, and if I don't already know it I'm happy to learn it. I've actively run Exalted, Lancer, Crowns, Five Torches Deep, and Shadow of the Demon Lord as well as familiarized myself with Eclipse Phase, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4e, Chronicles of Darkness, Pathfinder 2e, and Cyberpunk RED
