About the adventure
The year is 2125 and you are a Psychosurgeon, a doctor who specializes in using technology to delve into your patients’ minds in order to heal them from trauma, addiction, and other maladies. While most of your patients have simple needs, such as help quitting smoking, or letting go of a failed romance, some have more complex trauma and fears, which take the form of dangerous landscapes and aggressive entities, all working against the Psychosurgeon to keep the mind in its current state. While life is far from perfect, your job is relatively safe and pays more than relatively well. You’ve been even considering getting one of those new holographic systems for your home. But as news of the Thoughtless, a serial killer that doesn’t take lives and instead destroys minds, begin to spread, you will have to choose between your own safety and your oath to protect your patients. And when Thoughtless targets people close to you, things turn dangerously personal. - The Thoughtless is a unique homebrew campaign that fuses sci-fi, fantasy, and an intriguing mystery; using Daggerheart cards to differentiate between two completely different realities, as players divide their time between the Mindscapes and real life. In the Mindscape, reality is bound by your own limitations, and you have access to an Ego, a different version of yourself with new abilities, powers, and even a new form, which you can use to help people by fighting against their torments. In real life, you will have the chance to investigate this mystery, trying to uncover the identity of this serial killer armed only with your wit and careful planning. PS: while this is an adult game touches on subjects of trauma and mental illness, certain topics will still be off limits. This will all be discussed during session zero.

About me
Hey, everyone. After many years playing and GMing various types of games, I've decided to delve deeper into the hobby. I currently have my own website with RPG-related content, along with some board game goodness. I'm also working on a DnD book and some other stuff that I'm super excited to share with you all in the future. I have experience with many different systems. From the classic D&D to the edgy World of Darkness. From the futuristic Cypher to the gloriously queer Thirsty Sword Lesbians. I've really played it all (except for Gurps...that one gave me a headache). As a GM, I very much value roleplay and fun, with a good touch of chaos. Metagame is nearly useless in my games, as many monsters will have different abilities and other surprises I'll throw in. That medusa? She's a cursed human and kept her paladin levels. That hag is genuinely just a salesperson (just ignore some of the creepier products). Oh, and the dragon breathes hallucinogenic gas instead of fire. Good luck.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen during session zero with all characters starting at level 1. The sheets themselves are created and stored through Demiplane and/or StartPlaying. If needed, I can assist through this process.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need accounts on Discord and Roll20. An account on Demiplane is also helpful, as it is where the sheets are stored.
What Felipe Lopez brings to the table
As a GM, I try to balance between going for Rule of Coll and Rules as Written. My real focus is on everyone at the game having fun and engaging in the story we're creating. I also will have ambient music, a variety of maps (both made by me or purchased), and a story created as a collaboration between players and GM.
Homebrew rules
The players will have access to different cards/features in the real world and in the mindscape.

How Felipe Lopez creates a safe table
During session 0 we will discuss the importance of and use of lines and veils, as well as how to use the X card if needed. All players will receive a document to fill out in which they will list all their lines and veils. This is done in a way that the answers will be anonymous in an effort to ensure people's comfort with more delicate subjects. I would also like to clarify that most of the content warnings can be discussed and might not be included in the game, safe for Medical Issues, Memory Erasing, Mental Illness, Mind Alteration, Murder, Nightmares about Traumatic Events, Panic Attacks, Trauma, and Violence, as they're all tied to the psychological aspect of the plot.
