About the adventure
A shining city built amidst the swirling sands... Spires reaching high into the heavens, pristine and glimmering in the cloudless skies. The city of Vo Ruzell sits as the capital of the nation. Steeped in mystery due to its founding being lost in the mists of time, adventurers are drawn to this place seeking fame and fortune, glory and renown. One of the three key nations in an alliance against the predations of the Empire to the north, the Vagavoruz Sultancy is the oldest and grandest nation on the continent. Founded by a gnomish hero who stumbled across the secret of immortality, the city has only had one ruler for its long and storied existence. However, this gnome who is known to most citizens as simply "The Little Sultan", has a penchant for mischief and a terrible memory. With war looming on the horizon, the Sultan has recalled some artifacts that will greatly aid the efforts against the Empire. Now, he just needs adventurers to go out into the sands and find the ruins the artifacts were left in! Set forth brave souls into swirling sands and quiet tombs, to find relics of ages forgotten even to history and save the souls and minds of all the free peoples in the Alliance! *Roleplay strongly encouraged, I love doing fun voices for NPCs to keep things lively. *Social encounters are typically theater of the mind with background music to set the scene. *Custom maps made by me and tailored for each adventure. *I provide all of the maps used for players to take with them to their own games as well.

About me
Ever since I was young stories about epic quests, brave (and sometimes not-so-brave) heroes triumphing over fearsome creatures and dreadful foes have mesmerized me. Finding out about tabletop role-playing games changed the way I saw fantasy. The change from static narration to being involved in the world and story blew me away. Since that first session on my friend's back porch in the summer heat, I have played and run several systems, campaigns lasting several years of weekly games, and experienced all kinds of worlds. So far I have introduced over 2 dozen new players to Dungeons and Dragons and Shadowrun, and I would love to bring this experience to as many new players as I can. My campaigns include things like fully soundtracked adventures, all maps custom made by me, and a loose, friendly atmosphere at the table. I am available for specific game requests in addition to my posted offerings. I can run games in various fantasy settings, sci-fi, cyberpunk, and space operas. If I do not know the system you want to use, I can study it prior to game start, I am always happy to learn a new system!

What to expect
Preparing for the session
The only software needed is Discord for voice/video and a web browser. A microphone is required, and a headset is recommended to enjoy the soundtrack and sound effects of the game though! Webcams are not required, but can certainly be used if the group would like to! Definitely encourage all players to bring a fun, roleplaying mindset to each session too!

How Tantris creates a safe table
This campaign takes place in a dark world, but has a wacky and more whimsical atmosphere than the others I run in the setting. You can expect adventures to take you into harsh environments and dark, underground caverns. There will be combat against monsters and people alike. During session 0 we will meet and establish what everyone is or isn't comfortable with, and utilize a fade to black if those things come up. If something comes up during a session, players can message me to notify me that something is making them uncomfortable. After each session we will have a debriefing where each player can publicly or privately bring up anything that stood out positively or discuss anything that bothered them, without fear of judgement or reprisal from anyone in the group.
