About the adventure

📍Setting: Modern Day. Arkham, Massachusetts. 📖 Story: You receive a call at 2am from Lawrence Warwick, a doctor working at St. Mary's Teaching Hospital's morgue. He seems frantic and you think you should check in on him. 🎲 Gameplay: Light investigation, and quick combat. If you like slasher horror films then you’ll like this adventure. There’s plenty of gore, it’s fast paced, and at times a little goofy. 👥 About the Table/Meta: If you’re new to Call of Cthulhu, fear not! This is a beginner level scenario, there will be pauses to explain core mechanics. Also we use premade investigators.

About me

My first experience with TTRPGs was a heavily homebrewed DnD campaign. From the first Nat 20, I knew I was hooked. I specifically loved the goosebumps I'd get when a single roll would determine the course of an entire battle. I played DnD in various campaigns and one-shots for four years after that. I realized that I craved more heart-pounding moments and the feeling of desperation. So I looked for a system that would cater to similarly minded folks and found Call of Cthulhu. I love running games. I still play various systems, DnD, Daggerheart, etc. But my one true love is seeing the excitement (and fear) from players unraveling a mystery.

What Alex (Weirdlyllama) brings to the table

💗About Me: Combat in my games is very light and imaginative. I offer a lot of latitude to characters in combat for sake of fun. Despite this, I do keep the lethality of Call of Cthulhu combat the same. I'm also quick to inform new players what I'm changing about the rules so that they can go to other games knowledgeably. What I Provide: ✔️Ambient Music and Sound Effects ✔️Experience running games for players new to CoC or TTRPG ✔️No AI! Everything is from official sources or custom made! ✔️Premade Investigators with humorous/unique backgrounds. ✔️Horrors beyond comprehension!

Safety

How Alex (Weirdlyllama) creates a safe table

We will talk about safety tools at the beginning of the game so that new players learn what these are. The main tool we will use are X cards. The X card will be presented on the digital "gameboard" Roll20. Players may also message me at any time issues/triggers that arise if they don't want other players to see.
