About the adventure
Prepare yourself to step into a land where the wind howls, the taverns are warm, and danger is always a short hike away. Youâll explore rugged hills, haunted ruins, secret caves, and a half-dozen quirky homesteads - all while a hungry dragon prowls overhead. This is a game where you choose the quests that speak to you and shape the story through your own cleverness, curiosity, and courage. You will make meaningful choices, chase rumors, hunt monsters, build relationships with local townsfolk, and discover what kind of adventurer you want to be. Whether youâre here for tactical fights, character-driven moments, problem-solving, or just to laugh with new friends, Iâll guide you every step of the way. No experience needed - seriously! I love introducing beginners to D&D and making sure everyone feels welcome and seen at the table. Expect a tone that mixes cozy fantasy, lighthearted humor, and moments of real heroism. Youâll have downtime to breathe, banter, and roleplay - but when the claws come out, so does the cinematic action. My job is to make you feel like youâre stepping into a living world where your choices matter, your ideas shine, and your characterâs journey feels personal. Youâll enjoy this game if you love the feeling of exploring at your own pace, being part of a supportive group, and experiencing a story shaped collaboratively with a DM whoâs excited, patient, and fully invested in your fun. Whether you're brand new or well-travelled in the realms of adventure, Iâd love to guide you through one of the most beloved starter campaigns in D&D 5e. Letâs make some memories in the frozen frontier. See you on the mountainside! đâš

About me
Heyy heyy! Glad to see you here! I've been DMing for 3 years now and I now DM at my local game store! Although I'm no veteran, I fell in love with the game quickly and absorbed it's rules like a sponge. I have been told by my players that I truly was able to get them in the right mood and mindset with my storytelling and the atmosphere I create at the table whether through music, lights or the small things I add to fit the theme. I love DMing and I hope to have you join my table so we can tell great stories together!

Creating your character
* Level: Start at Level 1 (advancement throughout the campaign). * Ability Scores: Point Buy * Allowed Sources: Official 5e books (when in doubt, reach out! :) ) * Starting Equipment: Standard class/background equipment + 1 healing potion + 1 special trinket (this could be an heirloom, a keepsake, or a sentimental item that has no mechanical effect but adds to your character's story) + 1 common magic item of your choice * Homebrew classes or subclasses: Not used in this adventure * New Players Welcome: I will happily walk you through character creation before our first session and provide beginner-friendly options, cheat sheets, and guidance. ** Free session 0 included!! If you want, we can go over your character sheet during session 0 if you need support. I'd be happy to help you build it from scratch if you feel more comfortable that way, otherwise we can just review details together :) Session 0 will also be used to discuss safety tools!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
To be able to play, you will need: * A Discord account (I will be sharing with you the link to the server we'll be using) * A Roll20 account (no subscription needed) * A character sheet (I will give you guidelines on how and where to create your character)
What Lucy Moon brings to the table
* Clear, patient guidance if youâre new * Supportive table culture (zero tolerance for any kind of hostility towards other participants) * Cinematic combat described vividly and with respect of your boundaries * Character-driven storytelling and fail-safe/fail-forward style in storytelling * Handouts, maps, and tools to help you visualize the world without spoiling the theatre of the mind * Flexible roleplay space where your creativity sets the tone * A DM who genuinely loves creating fun, cozy, chaotic, heroic moments for players
Homebrew rules
* (Optional) I like to have stealth checks and sometimes even perception checks blind to the player so that the result doesn't affect the progression of the action, good or bad. (I think it makes things more realistic) (We can remove or keep this rule if you do not like it ofc!) Ex. You're walking in a forest, it is late and it is getting darker by the minute. You notice a slight glow that you perceive from the corner of your left eye. [Perception check for DM eyes only] Focusing your vision and looking through the darkness you manage to notice that this glimmer came from what looks like the eyes of something... living. You get close with sword and shield drawn... only to realize that it was just a bioluminescent mushroom (nat 1, you thought it was something dangerous but it was really inoffensive) * (Optional) Death saves are rolled between the concerned player and the DM to keep the tension high (this homebrew rule could also be removed if you do not like it)
