About the adventure
You are hired by your old friend Gundren Rockseeker to aid him in a great archeological discovery, rediscovering the lost mines of phandelver, home to the "Forge of Spells", an ancient dwarven creation capable of increasing ones magical power a thousand fold. Your first stop is the mining town of Phandalin, where you discover that not all is well in the region, rumors of a cult growing in power are making the rounds alongside sightings of undead in the nearby woods. Panic begins to take hold of the townsfolk when prospectors report seeing a some sort of great beast flying above the Icespire Peak, prompting the Townmaster, Harbin Wester, to begin sending out requests for aid to the nearby town of Neverwinter, being willing to pay a hefty sum in exchange for freeing the town of it's perils. For those looking for a simpler or beginner friendly game, this might be for you. The system books will be provided for those that do not possess them. LGBTQ+ inclusive.

About me
Hello, my name is Marcos André, a game master from Brazil with 6 years of experience that has decided to enter the realm of professional GMing. Most of my experience is with Dungeons and Dragons 5e, but I have begun to use simpler systems like Old-School Essentials and 3DeT, nonetheless I am more than willing to learn a new system to run. My style of GMing is more to the chaotic side of things, usually starting with a published adventure and slowly letting the dice and players decide the way things go, a method that, more often than not, leads to a more fun, if more chaotic version of the adventure. I try to foster a friendly environment at my tables, doing my best to ensure a positive relationship between my players and myself. It is common for me to create custom content for specific players, such as custom weapons, classes, items, etc.

Creating your character
Characters will be created during Session 0, players unfamiliar with old-school character creation are recommended to watch Epic Solo's video on the subject, but any restrictions, limitations and other changes regarding character creation will be explained in full during session 0. Simpler character backstories are preferred. The only requirement regarding character backstories is that your character already has a decent friendship with Gundren, as he specifically requested your help in his archeological exploration.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord account to join the game server, along with a decent microphone. Although text is an acceptable option if required, voice will still be prioritized. You will also need a Google account as the character sheet is made through Google Sheets.
What Marcos André brings to the table
I will do my best to provide a fun experience to the players, with player made decisions being prioritized, be aware that the consequences of said decisions will carry equal weight. I usually go for a more Rule of Cool kind of game, but will default to the rules as written when in doubt regarding a given situation. The system books required will be provided.
