About the adventure

In the northern plains of Kaishehui, a beautiful continent of Cherry and bamboo forests, of mountains that touch the clouds and volcanoes that spew forth the heat of the sun from their gullets. You and your companions work as agents of the Emperor, set with a job to do and do it quietly, no mistakes, no witnesses. In this campaign you will play as imperial officials setting out to complete tasks assigned by the warlord Lord Hao and other officials in your dynasty, as many states war against one another and vie for control of a dying dynasty it is your job to ensure your kingdom is the one that ends up on top. In this adventure you will investigate and root out corruption of ministers and bureaucrats, arrest the enemies of the state in the dead of night, and even assassinate those who threaten the lord or his family. Lord Hao, like many warlords of the modern day took power from the governor of his dynasty when the Yu Dynasty fell to rebellion. His Father was a great general and warlord and now he stands at a fragile point in his reign, with no direct heir to the throne from his Lady, several Eunuchs seeking to advise him as well as Administrator's in constant fighting with one another over their political and historical disagreements. He has set out to create a taskforce of people who can take care of his dirty work, a group who do not report to an untrustworthy or self-serving Minister or Chancellor, but him directly, that group is what you, brave adventurer will be apart of and serving the Lord Hao will be your mission, ensuring his prosperity will be your duty and you will be rewarded with lavish gifts and political power as you climb the ranks of a complex and intertwined bureaucratic web in this setting inspired by the Three Kingdoms period of China.
