About the adventure
Dreadfor Manor is a Detective/Horror game in a classical ''Haunted Manor'' setting. I'm planning to use D&D 5e (2014) rules for the characters and combat. And there are (kinda) pre-made characters with vague backgrounds, and at least 1 personality trait (likes/dislikes). Players can redact/optimize these characters according to Point Buy system.

About me
I love making sound effects, voices and accents. I use ambient sounds, dynamic music and a lots of visual references in my games. Oh and Rule of Cool applies %90 of the time. I don't use pre-created modules or campaigns. At session zero, I give my players a big list of questions (85) about their characters. This helps the players to bond with their characters and understand the characters' motivations. After they give me their answers, I study their background and add plot hooks to my main storyline. All my games are for mature (+21) players.

Creating your character
You can pick one of the 7 pre-made characters and modify them as you wish. Use D&D 5e (2014) rule set and Point Buy system. There are some specifics about each character that is important for story hooks. I can walk you through character creation if you prefer so. Characters The Detective - Rogue / Scout or Mastermind or Inquisitive The Cap'n - Fighter / Battle Master or Champion The Professor - Wizard / any except Bladesinging and Necromancy The Exorcist - Cleric / Light or Life The Gypsy - Bard / Eloquence or Lore or Spirits or Swords The Hunter - Warlock / Hexblade The Trapper - Barbarian / Berserker or Totem or Zealot
